Day 3 Live Updates

Event 9 - Down To Three 1 year ago

The 90-minute dinner break is over and play has resumed. With the blinds this high and continuing to escalate the tight play that characterized this final table before dinner should be a thing of the past. We've already lost one of four and things are heating up.

Conkright Wronged! (4th)

We're down to three now that John Conkright has been eliminated in 4th Place ($101,228).

Conkright frittered.

His last hand began with an $80k raise from Nathan Templeton on the button. Conkright shoved for his last $417,000 from the big blind and Templeton made a fairly quick call.

It went Kc 5s for Conkright against Templeton's Ac 10c.

The Ad 10h 9d flop left little to think about and the As turned sealed the deal. For those of you keeping score at home the river was the 2s but it didn't matter Conkright was done.

Playing three handed Rep Porter has $1.8 million, Nathan Templeton just under a million and Devin Porter has $900k.

Event 9 - The Doldrums 1 year ago

Action has seriously slowed down in this event, reminding us of that part of that old-school movie where nothing ever happens, seriously. Four players remain with Rep Porter leading the charge to the bracelet.

Each and every player at the table seems to be a little hesitant to make moves which is the complete opposite of what we've seen in this six-handed tournament since Day 1. Stacks are relatively short which is limiting their ability to get too fancy.

We've reached 160 hands and with just two eliminations it's safe to say things are going slow.

Brand-Spanking New Counts

Devin Porter $1,200,000
John Conkright
$660,000
Nathan Templeton

Edge of Your Seat Thrill Ride

While the action is a tad slow there are some trends to be seen. Rep Porter has been playing solid and maintaining the lead he's held for most of the final table. If he's losing any ground it's to Devin Porter who's the only one showing much aggression at all. Devin's been more active than his opponents which has paid dividends over the last few levels.
