Day 3 Live Updates
Event 7 - Level 18 - Theo Time!
The first hour of play (20 hands) has really been the Theo Tran show as he's won the majority of pots without going to showdown. We're now down to just seven players and Theo still holds the chip lead inching over the $2 million mark while Mihai Manole and Matt Keikoan are the only other over $1 million.
Tran Doubles
J.C. Tran open shoved from middle position for his last $100k before Alex Bolotin came over the top making it $200k to go. Once the rest fold Tran turns over Q
9
and needs help against Bolotin's A
J
.
Tran runs so good he didn't even looked worried on the 7
5
3
flop. Then his confidence was confirmed when the 9
turned and the river bricked. Tran doubles, but is still on the ropes here. As for Bolotin; he was the short stack and is now out.
Bolotin Explodes (8th)
J.C. Tran made it $42k from before Alex Bolotin comits himself to the pot making it $134,000 to go from the button. Theo Tran then decides to make the call and J.C. is forced to fold. A classic race unfolds with Tran holding A
J
against Bolotin's pair of nines. Bolotin could not make the small pair hold as Tran flopped an ace and turned a jack for two pair.
For eighth Bolotin will grab $72,436.
Lisanti Loses (9th)
Mike Lisanti lost the last of his chips running big slick into Matt Keikoan's pocket kings. He found no help from the board and is headed to the cage to take home $50,705.
Clash of the Titans
In the next biggest hand thus far Mihai Manole raised it up to 41,000 from the cutoff and Matt Keikoan made the call from the big blind.
The flop rolled out J
4
2
and after a Keikoan check, Manole led out for $60k. Keikoan flatted him and watched the 8
fall on the turn before checking again. This time Manole checked as well treating us to the 3
river.
Keikoan checked again before Manole made it $75,000 to see his holdings. Keikoan decided it was worth it, but mucked when Manole showed J
10
.
