Event 7 - Level 23 - Heads Up!
We've managed to reach heads up now thanks to Theo Tran compeletely blowing his huge lead and Carter Gill stepping out third. It's now neck in neck for the bracelet and all the cash live on the ESPN stage.
Gill Gutted (3rd)
We are headed to heads up and Carter Gill will grab $228,897 for third after getting all his chips in the middle with 8
6
against Matt Keikoan's A
K
. Gill flopped a flush draw, but Keikoan hit a king and a third heart was not in the cards.
Shannon Shorr and Matt Keikoan will go heads up in a dead heat both sitting on around $2.9 million in chips.
Tran Trounced (4th)
Theo Tran is out fourth and can't be happy about it at all. He'll cash $191,231 after giving away his massive chip lead to Shannon Shorr then shipping the last of his stack over to Carter Gill running pocket sevens into pocket jacks.
It is early days yet at the 2008 WSOP and Tran has already made two final tables. But this one has to be a disappointment as he went from the penthouse to the outhouse in just a matter of minutes.

Event 7 - Level 22 - Things Done Changed!
Theo Tran has lost his lead in this last level. Shannon Shorr chipped away at the field building his stack then and just took a huge chunk of Theo's stack and the chip lead.
In the big confrontation, Tran made it $70,000 to go pre flop and Shorr made the call sending the two heads up to the K
7
4
flop. Both players checked allowing the 3
turn to come off. Tran decided to bet out making it $105,000 before Shorr came over the top to $275,000 total.
Tran made the call and the J
came on the river. Tran wisely checked, but that allowed Shorr to shove.
Facing a bet of almost $1 million in chips, Tran tanked forever before finally making the wrong call. It took him considerably less time to muck his holdings when Shorr turned over the 7
7
for the set.
Now over $2 million in chips, Shorr has grabbed the lead and Tran is under $1 million.
