Event 50 - Final Table - Heads-Up Begins!
Heads-up play has begun with the elimination of Dan Heimiller in third place. These two have enough chips to play a bit of poker so, without the help of two big hands clashing, we could be in for a match.
Read on for the details on that elimination, and some other goodies.
Heads-Up Hand of Note
The first substantial pot we’ve seen in this heads-up match started with David Daneshgar limping his button and Scott Sitron checking his option. The flop came down K
8
2
and Sitron fired $100,000. Daneshgar raised to $380,000 and got a call.
The turn was the T
and Sitron opted to check. Daneshgar kept the pressure on with a $700,000 bet which was enough to force Sitron out of the hand.
Mano a Mano

| Scott Sitron | $4,220,000 |
| David Daneshgar | $3,875,000 |
Heimiller Heimlich’d (Third)
Dan Heimiller has been eliminated, paving the way for heads-up play between Scott Sitron and David Daneshgar. Heimiller’s last hand began with a raise to $225,000 from the button. David Daneshgar got out of the way and Heimiller thought for a moment before announcing all-in.
It was about $1.6 million total and after some thought Daneshgar made the call. A
T
for Daneshgar was in great shape against Heimiller’s A
3
. The flop rolled out J
T
4
and things were looking bad for the all-in Heimiller.
The board finished out J
5
and that was all she wrote for Mr. Heimiller. He takes $275,695 for is third place finish.
Daneshgar Takes the Lead
In a big hand that was played entirely pre-flop David Daneshgar has taken the chip lead from Scott Sitron. It began with Daneshgar opening from the button to $250,000. Dan Heimiller called from the small blind but Sitron re-popped to $700,000 from the big blind.
Daneshgar thought for a few moments before announcing raise, making it $1.7 million total. Heimiller quickly got out of the way and, after a short dwell, Sitron did the same. Daneshgar is now up close to $3.5 million.
