Event 52 - Daneshgar Wins! 1 year ago

This thing is over! David Daneshgar came into this heads-up match at a disadvantage in the stack department but fought his way back and took a commanding lead going into the final hand.

Scott Sitron limped from the button and Daneshgar made it $400,000 from the big blind. Sitron paused for just a moment before moving all-in and Daneshgar beat him into the pot. Ah 8c for Sitron needed help against Daneshgar's Tc Th but got none from the 6h 6d 4h 9c Jh.

Daneshgar's two pair, tens and sixes, are good for the pot, the win and everything that goes with it. The bracelet and the $625.443 are his while Scott Sitron takes $385,974 for his runner up finish.

Event 52 - Final Table - Heads-Up Continues 1 year ago

The is heads-up match is still rolling but, with the blinds getting seriously high, it's hard to say how much longer than it will last. Read on for all the goods.

The hands below occurred when the blinds were $50k/$100k but the level has just gone up to $60k/$120k.

New Counts

David Daneshgar $5,675,000
Scott Sitron
$2,420,000

Daneshgar Takes the Lead

The hands outlined below detail how Scott Sitron controlled the action in the first segment of this match but David Daneshgar just took down a big pot and with it the chip lead. It began with Sitron opening to $320,000 from the button and Daneshgar re-popping to $895,000 from the big blind.

Sitron made the call and the flop came out Ac 6s 2h. Daneshgar fired $610,000 and got a call. The turn was the 6h and Daneshgar checked. Sitron bet $800,000 and Daneshgar announced all-in. Sitron thought for a moment before releasing his hand and conceding the pot.

Nice One for Sitron

Scott Sitron came into this match with a healthy chip lead and has used that advantage well to keep constant pressure on David Daneshgar. A recent hand started with a min-raise from Sitron on the button and a call from his opponent.

The flop came down 7d 5c 3s and Daneshgar checked. Sitron fired $350,000 and Daneshgar made the call. The turn was the 5d and both players checked. The river was the Tc and after one final check from Daneshgar, Sitron fired $1 million at the pot.

Daneshgar opted to fold and Sitron picks up a juicy pot without the inconvenience of a showdown.

Still in it.

Another One for Sitron

So far in this heads-up match the advantage seems to lie with Scott Sitron. This hand started with Daneshgar opening to $250,000 from the button and Sitron calling from the button. The flop came down Ad Kh 6c and Sitron checked.

Daneshgar fired $350,000 and got a quick call from his opponent. The turn was the 4h and both players checked. The river was the 7h and after two more checks Sitron tabled Kc 8s which was enough to earn him the pot.

Nice Call from Sitron

Scott Sitron was on the button and limped in. Daneshgar did the same in the big blind and the flop came down As Jc 2d. Both players checked and the turn was the 6s. Two more checks and the Td hit the river. Daneshgar tossed $100,000 into the pot and after some thought Sitron made the call.

Daneshgar had been taking a stab with 7c 3h and Sitron had looked him up with $Kc4d for nothing but king-high.
