Event 47 - Final Table - Still In The Hunt!
Thomas Hunt III has been the perennial short stack at this final table, and has never managed to get too far above $100,000. He's still in though, thanks to a series of chops and with Alessio Isaia seemingly bleeding a few chips, it might be possible for him to at least ladder up another place, if not better.
Ryan Hughes continues to dominate however, with all the other guys short enough that one pot could eliminate them.
Shcoopsh!
The one pot that Thomas Hunt took completely was when he started with split eights against Isaia's buried deuces, on 5th street Hunt caught two pair, eights and fives and raised all-in, finishing with a board of 8

Event 47 - Final Table - Hughes Running The Show
1 year ago
Two more players have gone and Ryan Hughes is dominating the table with four players left. Hughes was involved in several big tussles with the other big stack, Jonas Klausen, and came off the victor in that, to set up a commanding lead that makes him odds-on favorite with four left.
D'Alessandro's House Crumbles (Out in 6th)
You don't usually see that many bad beats in Stud Hi/Lo but Tim D'Alessandro just suffered a real nasty one. He started with T

Klausen Gone (Out in 5th)
After coming off second best to Ryan Hughes multiple times, Jonas Klausen eventually got all his chips in, he started off with the 2

as well to give him a smooth eight draw as well as his flush draw. Long picked up the J

for a a pair of sixes before getting the 8
for his own flush draw and a worse low draw.
Klausen picked up the 8
on seventh to give him a pair of eights, no low, Ron Long caught the J
for jacks and sixes, good enough to scoop the entire pot and leave us with just four players remaining. Klausen gets $39,355 his efforts though.
