Event 46 - The More Things Change...
Joe Commisso had been rolling over Richard Lyndaker for the first part of the past hour building a big chip lead again, but that all came crashing down rather quickly.
Commisso limped the button Lyndaker tapped the table. Both checked the A
4
2
flop bringing us to the 6
. The tension began to mount as both players checked letting the Q
come down on the river.
Lyndaker checked but Commisso took a stab betting $225,000. Once again Lyndaker check-raised, bumping it to $825k and Commisso made the call.
Lyndaker threw A
6
on the felt showing aces up and Commisso threw his cards in the muck.
Lyndaker was back to $3.6 million and Commisso down to $4.38 million rendering all the pots he'd picked up in the half hour moot.
The players took a 20-minute break soon after and end this hour pretty much exactly where they were at the end of the last one. But of course, the price of poker is going up and if Commisso keeps his foot on the gas we'll get there soon.

Event 46 - Things Done Changed
Things have tightened since then with Lyndaker now up to $3.48 million to Commisso's 4.56 million.
The big hand played out with Commisso making yet another button raise making it $130,000 to see a flop. Lyndaker called and the flop fell Q
7
2
. Lyndaker checked and Commisso came firing again betting $200,000. Not to be outdone, Lyndaker pulled out the old check-raise bumping it to $475,000 and Commisso shoved.
Lyndaker made the call with 10
7
and was ahead of Joe's K
6
. With Commisso begging for a spade or a king the Q
came down on the turn and the river was the 6
keeping Lyndaker in the lead for good.
Now with forty or fifty big blinds a piece both players are now deep and the match is definitely taking on a tighter feel with smaller pots.
