Event 46 - Commisso Survives Suck Out City!
The drama is finally over here heads just as we were entering an unbelievable 5th hour with more than 200 hands played between the two combatants.
The action heated up right away at the beginning of the hour with Joe Commisso and Richard Lyndaker getting it all again pre flop and this time Commisso was ahead with A
9
versus Lyndaker's 10
8
.
However, the flop fell in Lyndaker's favor with K
8
2
and his pair held up on the 5
4
turn and river.
Lyndaker grabbed the slight lead until a few hands later it when Commisso got it all in pre flop with A
8
against Lyndaker's J
10
. This time the ace came through when the board showed A
7
5
K
7
and Lyndaker was crippled.
He still wouldn't go away though, getting it all in facing another Commisso ace and doubling up.
This time it was Q
7
for Lyndaker against Commisso's A
8
and when the board dropped 10
7
4
4
9
Lyndaker was still breathing.
The chip lead was still a healthy 7-1 when they butted heads again after playing the 200th hand heads up. Commisso found another ace to call Lyndaker's shove with, but Lyndaker's king paired up and he doubled again.
A few hands later they were at it again with Commisso holding A
3
against Lyndaker's Q
J
and once again Lyndaker hit.
Eventually the K
J
3
6
10
board put the match back in Lyndaker's favor with $5.2 million to $2.9 million as the hour came near to a close.
Joe then got it all in with an open ended straight draw against Richard's top pair and hit his money card on the turn to double and turn the tide in his favor with $6.3 million to $1.8 million.
And finally the two got it all in pre flop with Commisso holding A
Q
against Lyndaker's 7
9
.
The heads up marathon looked to be over on the Q
4
10
flop and was over when the 10
turned.
Commisso had won $911,855 for first and piece of WSOP jewelry, while Lyndaker had to settle for the $570,551 second place cash.
Check back here a little later for an interview with Joe.

Event 46 - We Need A Cooler In Here
This heads-up match can only be called epic now that we're going into the fourth hour and it's clear that Richard Lyndaker is not going away.
Lyndaker had climbed back to even before Joe Commisso put his foot down on the accelerator again and grabbed hold of the match.
In the hand that turned the tide Commisso completed and Lyndaker checked. Once Lyndaker checked the 10
10
6
flop Commisso made it $150,000 to see a turn.
Lyndaker called and the 4
was revealed.
Once again Lyndaker checked called a Commisso bet, but this time it was $375,000. The river was the 8
and Lyndaker checked again allowing Commisso to make a $1 million bet.
Lyndaker passed and Commisso's lead was back.
It wouldn't last though, as Lyndaker won another series of pots then pushed Commisso off a big pot and took control.
Lyndaker made it $225,000 and Commisso reraised to $500,000. Lyndaker made the call sending us to the 8
5
4
flop. Commisso made it $750,000, but when Lyndaker pushed he was forced to lay it down.
Stacking his chips Lyndaker was up to $5.3 million after the hand while Commisso had just $2.6 million.
But as easily as he'd gained it, Lyndaker lost the lead. A $6.9 million pot got shipped over to Commisso when he pushed all in facing a $700k bet from Lyndaker on a A
Q
8
7
board. Lyndaker made the call with A
K
but Commisso had caught two pair holding Q
7
. The 10
river changed nothing and Commisso had not only doubled up, but could see the finish line with $6.9 million to around $1 million.
Lyndaker got down to $800k then doubled shoving with A
Q
while Commisso called with Q
6
. The 7
3
3
3
K
board couldn't end the match.
The chip lead was still 6-2 for Commisso, however, and he continued to use it.
Lyndaker was back down to $1.4 million when he pushed in again with K
J
. Commisso made the reluctant call with K
9
and the A
7
4
5
A
board didn't end the match either.
Commisso's lead was down to $5 million to $3 million and his inability to close this thing out had turned the match into a marathon heading into the fourth hour of heads up play.
