Event 45 - Six Handed!
The final table is packed with talent and so far that has meant few mistakes by the assembled players. They are grinding away at each other and no one is getting the upper hand.
Erick E-Dog Lindgren has been the busiest and most successful player in the last hour, gently but firmly increasing his stack to a point where he is now the chip daddy.
We have also lost a player in that period. This is how that came to be.
This Horse Is A Jaffa - Seed-less (OUT - 7th)
Huck Seed has been nursing a short stack for a while but finally he has been busted, losing out to Michael DeMichele in the Stud Eight event.
Michael had a two way draw going and made both his low and his flush to send the luck-less Huck Seed crashing out in 7th place with $284,160 to ease the pain.
Here are the current chip counts, with Barry Greenstein now the shortstack and in dire need of more chips. $700,000 just doesn't cut the mustard I'm afraid.
Although Scotty and Erick remain firmly attached to the upper echelons of the leaderboard, Michael DeMichele is catching up a little andmay find himself in contention as we circle in on that shiny little band of gold that is so sought after...
| Scotty Nguyen | $3,950,000 |

Event 45 - The Tension Rises,,,
Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the big names adorning the HORSE final table, the surrounding areas are packed out with avid fans straining over the crowds to get a good look at the guys they watch on TV every week.
One of those is Scotty Nguyen who has taken a stranglehold on the competition at the moment, clear chip leader. There is still plenty of play left though and we are bound to see a few twists and turns before the day is done.
It's rare that a hand goes to the wire and we see player's hole cards.
There's a little bit of cat and mouse strategy going on at the table at present, although it is Nguyen, in search of his fifth bracelet, who is picking up the most pots as we speak.
One hand that did go to the wire was this one.
E-Dog Wags His Tail
In Omaha/8, Erick Lindgren limped in from under the gun and folded round to Michael DeMichele who checked from the big blind.
The flop fell A
9
8
.
DeMichele checked, Lindgren bet and DeMichele called.
The turn was the T
.
Check, check.
The river was the J
, prompting Demichele to count out a bet which Lindgren didn't take too long to call.
Lindgren showed down A-A for a set of aces and DeMichele quickly threw his cards into the muck, rueing his failed bluff attempt.
Here are the latest counts, showing Nguyen and Erick Lindgren clear chip leaders at this stage.
