Event 44 - Final Table - Ludicrous Speed!
When we lost two players in the first level we thought this event was moving quickly. Three more bustications in the last hour have made it official. This final table has reached the rare level of ludicrous speed.
Read on for those eliminations as well as the new counts.
Four on the Floor
Here are the new counts for the remaining five players, courtesy of www.worldseriesofpoker.com.
| Rene Mouritsen | $3,323,000 |
| Albert Iversen | $1,560,000 |
| Max Greenwood | $915,000 |
| Scott Freeman | $693,000 |
Biggest Pot of the Tournament; Chinni Chin-Chinned! (Fifth)
Jesse Chinni came into this final table as the massive chip leader but it took him less than two hours to lose it all. He still had over $1 million going into the final hand but ran into a monster that proved to be his undoing.
It started with Rene Mouritsen opening to $60,000 and Chinni re-popping to $180,000. Mouritsen then made it $480,000 and Chinni moved all-in. Mouritsen beat him into the pot and tabled A
A
which had Chinni’s A
K
crushed.
There were no draws or scares on the board, making this elimination official.
Dzianisau Demolished (Sixth)
No offense to Aliaksandr Dzianisau, we’re sure he’s a fine guy, but thank god he’s been eliminated so we don’t have to keep fumbling through the spelling of his name. He got unlucky in the end, getting in absolutely dominating position to double.
Action was folded to Albert Iversen in the small blind and he raised enough to Dzianisau all-in. He was in the big blind. Dzianisau snap-called and tabled pocket queens which had Iversen’s J
7
in a bad spot. The flop changed all that, coming J-J-4 and rocketing Iversen into the lead. The turn and river bricked and just like that Dzianisau was out in sixth for $144,187.
Kohlberg Krushed (Seventh)
Curt Kohlberg has bitten the dust, taking seventh place and the $111,786 that goes with it. His final hand began with action folding to Max Greenwood in the small blind. He raised enough to put Kohlberg, who was in the big blind, all-in.
After some thought Kohlberg made the call and tabled A
7
which had a slight edge over Greenwood’s K
8
. The flop reversed the situation, coming K
8
4
, and after the board finished T
Q
it was all over for Curt Kohlberg.

Event 44 - Final Table - Two Down!
This final table is underway and in just the few first minutes we’ve got our first two eliminations. It’s perennial final tablist Alex Bolotin headed to the door in ninth and Phung Ngo out in eighth. Read on for that elimination as well as the eight-handed counts.
Phung Phinished (8th)
Max Greenwood got the action started in this hand with an opening raise to $50,000. Rene Mouritsen then re-popped to $170,000 and Phung Ngo moved all-in for $250,000. Greenwood folded but Mouritsen made the call, turning over A
J
.
He was racing against Ngo's pocket eights and took a big lead when an ace hit the flop. Ngo received no additional help from the board and he's gone in eighth for $90,000.
Bolotin Busto (9th)
Alex Boltotin is no stranger to final tables and, unfortunately, he ‘s no stranger to getting the short end of the stick when it comes to the cards. He came into this finale near the bottom of the chip counts and wasted no time getting involved.
He opened his final hand with a raise to $52,000. He was re-popped by Albert Iverson to $152,000 and after the rest of the table got out of the way Bolotin made the call. The flop came down A
T
6
and both players checked.
The 7
hit the turn and Bolotin moved all-in for around $110,000. Iversen snap-called and turned over A
T
which had out-flopped Alex’s A
K
. The river was the 9
and Bolotin is out in ninth for $63,183.
