Event 36 - Hous Zat!?!
And it's all over! Jesper Housgaard managed a marvelous comeback after that one hour dinner break. Through a combination of aggression and being dealt a few good cards at the right time, Housgaard managed to break Cody Slaubaugh's heart and take the bracelet.
The final hand was a nasty one for the latter, Cody raised to $150,000 and Jesper made it $500,000, having started to re-raise preflop a lot. Cody then made it $1,300,000 and Jesper moved in. Cody made the call and Jesper had him covered by just $25,000, a single green chip.
Cody: A
T
Jesper: Q
Q
The board pretty much left the young American drawing dead on the flop, coming Q
2
8
before the 5
left him dead on the turn and the A
was too little, too late.
Slaubaugh did get a consolation in the form of $389,128 while Housgaard will be more than happy with the $610,304 he receives.

Event 36 - An Impromptu Break
And just as this heads-up got interesting, we've gone on to a break. Hougaard though will be the happier of the two as he's contrived to go from having a 7:1 chip lead, all the way down to being the 2:1 dog. And here's how it happened...
Quick Double
The very first hand Cody Slaugbaugh raised preflop and Hougaard moved all-in. Slaugbaugh called with A-T and found himself dominating Hougaard's Q-T. The board ran out 7-7-K-K-5 and Slaughbaugh had quickly climbed the first rung of a big ladder.
No Fear
Soon after, Slaugbaugh raised to $125,000 preflop and Hougaard made it $320,000. Slaugbaugh called before moving all-in over the top of his opponent's $375,000 bet. Hougaard passed an ace face up and Slaugbaugh showed his Q-9.
All Cody
Slaugbaugh raises preflop and Hougaard made the call. Both players checked the 8-7-3 flop, before Hougaard bet $200,000 on the 9 turn. Slaugbaugh called and then fired $350,000 on the jack river, his opponent called with J-9 for two pair, but Slaugbaugh had rivered his straight with K-T.
Cody Again
Slaugbaugh re-raised preflop before firing on the A-Q-7 flop, Hougaard made the call and both checked the second queen on the turn. The river was a 4 to give a A-Q-7-Q-4, and Cody checked again, Hougaard fired out $650,000 and Cody quickly called with A-T. Hougaard mucked and suddenly, from being 7:1 down. Cody Slaugbaugh is in charge here.
