Event 31 - Hold On Tight!
While the action has curtailed a little from the first hour, things are moving at just the right pace for Dario Minieri. The Team PokerStars Pro has continued to pad his lead and is inching ever closer the WSOP immortality.
Super Dario
Minieri fired out a $70,000 raise from the small blind and Seth Fischer decided to make the call. The flop came A
Q
6
and Minieri brought out a big $100,000 gun firing another shell. Fischer made the call sending us to the 3
turn.
Dario hit the brakes this time and Fischer checked as well before the 3
river fell.
A fearless Minieri fired again making it $250,000 to go post river and Fischer could not help but call with more than $600k in the middle.
Fischer had pocket kings, but they were cracked by a Minieri ace.

Event 31 - Six-Handed Goes Four
We're down to four now in the six-handed final. Justin Filtz's range is beginning to look like any two as he's playing more pots than anyone else and is creeping up on the chip leaders.
Filtz's Fury
Justin Filtz has been the most active player on the felt in the early going, but finally ran into a wall in the first big hand of the day.
From the button Seth Fischer made it $40k but Filtz re-raised from the big blind making it $140k.
Forced to mmake a big decision, Fischer made the biggest of them all pushing his entire stack.
Filtz considered his options for quite some time before finally letting it go.
Marshak Marked (6th)
Kevin Song put a $47,000 bet in before the flop and Justin Filtz and Dario Minieri both made the call.
Stuart Marshak looked down at his holdings and came shoving up for the paltry sum of $160k.
Song sent his two into the muck, but Filtz repopped. Super Dario dropped his hand and we went heads up to the flop with Marshak riding Q
J
for his tournament life.
Filtz held kings and the kings held on a Q
9
3
2
2
board.
For sixth Marshak grabbed $73,784.
No Luck for the Irish (5th)
After Seth Fischer raised it up to $55,000, Kevin Song and John O'Shea both called. Three handed now, the flop fell A
5
2
and O'Shea checked.
Fischer led out for $110,000 and after Song passed, O'Shea decided it was now or never. He shoved, Fischer called and it was on! O'Shea would need some serious help with 4
2
for bottom pair and the gutshot while Fischer held A
9
. The A
turn made Fischer an even bigger favorite and the Q
river ended the tournament for the Irishman.
O'Shea will take home $98,923.
