Event 31 – Final Table – Justin Filtz Felted (Third), Heads-up Begins

In the last hour of play we’ve seen Dario Minieri’s stack go up and down like a rollercoaster (so nothing new there) and the eventual elimination of Justin Filtz in what you might call a bad beat.
In the fateful hand Filtz pushed all-in and Seth Fischer quickly called. Filtz stood up and gave a victorious fist-pump, which could only mean one thing – the dreaded pocket rockets.

Fischer would need a miracle as we headed to the board. The flop came K J 9
which gave Fischer a few more outs. Suddenly Filtz wasn’t smiling quite as much. The tension in the room was palpable as the dealer turned… K!
The Fischer supporters went crazy while Filtz could only give a weak smile at his bad fortune. The river came J and sealed the deal.
Fischer moves on to heads-up play while Filtz moves on to the rail. He will receive $214,139 for coming in third.
