Event 30 - Final Table - The Katz And Hollink Show
1 year ago
Andy Bloch will have to wait for the next event before he can claim a much sort after bracelet, he's just busted out of this event in 7th place. Aaron Katz and Rob Hollink still look like the two who'll end up battling it out for the bracelet.
Katz Doesn't Hang Around
Aaron Katz continues to attack the other players, he raises preflop with Tommy Hang 3-betting him. They see a 9
8
7
flop, Katz led out with a $25,000 bet and Hang called. On the 4
turn, Katz fired another bet and again Hang just called, the 4
river seemed to help neither player and Katz once more bet $50,000. Hang tanked before making the call, only to see Katz flopped a monster draw that had been quickly made on the turn, as he was holding Q
T
.
On The Chopping Bloch
Andy Bloch had lost a few pots before managing to double up with A-9 against the T-5 of Jerrod Ankelman, soon after, he doubled again with A-T this time against Aaron Katz A-9 to again double up.
For a moment, an amazing comeback looked on the cards, but hopes were finally dashed when he was all-in with J-3 against Rob Hollink's 9-8 which caught the river of a A-T-2-7-8 board making Bloch the bridesmaid once more. For his efforts though, he picks up $81,968.
Double Dutch
If there is anyone who might catch the chip leader Aaron Katz, it looks like it'll be Rob Hollink, he's just picked up another huge pot. Ankelman raised and Katz repopped it, Hollink and Ankelman both called. The flop came out 4
Q
4
, Hollink bet $25,000, Ankelman re-raised and Katz made it $75,000 before Hollink capped the betting, Ankelman folded and Katz called.
On the 3
Hollink bet $50,000 again with Katz calling, the same thing happened on the A
river, Hollink flipping pocket queens with Katz showing his outdrawn kings.
Can He 'C' A Way Back?
J.C Tran is the shortest stack remaining, but he's not going down without a fight, Ankenman raises to $50,000 preflop and Tran makes the call before check/raising the K
9
3
flop.Ankeman decided that discretion was the better part of valour and gave up. Tran doesn't have much, but he's still in here, just.

Event 30 - Final Table - Man Down!
It's slow and steady on the limit final table, we've lost one more player in Cy Jassinowsky, while prefinal favorites Andy Bloch and JC Tran are amongst the short stacks while Aaron Katz and Rob Hollink are the chip leaders.
Brock Rocks
Brock Parker has slipped right back into contention here after raising preflop and having Cy Jassinowsky reraise him, Brock 4-bet for all but his last $20,000 and his opponent made the call. The remaing chips went in on a J-T-2 flop where Cy found that Brock's A-T had outflopped his own A-K and needed a queen or king to eliminate Brock. None of his seven outs came and Brock has jumped up to third place in chips.
I Am A Man, I Am Ankelman!
Jerrod 'Ron Burgundy' Ankelman has managed to double up his short-stack, he must have been fearing the worst though when he turned over pocket queens on the A-K-3 flop, but Rob Hollink, who had called his push could only show tens, no ten on the turn or river and the legend of Ankelman goes on.
Cyonara
Cy Jassinowsky was all-in for his last $40,000 with Andy Bloch calling, Rob Hollink made it $60,000 while Tommy Hang made it 4 bets to go and $80,000. Bloch folded and Hollink called. The flop came out, K
6
9
, Hollink checked then folded to Hang's bet. Hang flipped Q
Q
whilst Jassinowsky could only show A
2
and needed an ace from space to stay in the tournament. The turn was 5
and the 7
appeared on the river. Cy Jassinowsky goes out in 8th place winning $66,599.
Clever Kitty
Aaron Katz has just won a huge pot in a limit cooler. Bloch raised preflop, JC Tran 3-bet it and Aaron Katz 4-bet with the other two calling. On the 7
6
2
flop each player ended up putting three bets in, on the J
turn, Tran bet $40,000, Katz made it $80,000 and Bloch folded. Tran called before check/calling the 5
river, only to discover his kings were no good against Katz' aces.
