Event 26 - The Bear Mauls Klodnicki! 1 year ago

The heads-up match between Chris Klodnicki and Barry Greenstein lasted nearly three hours. During that time there about five times when Klodnicki was down to the felt and rebounded back. At one point Klodnicki had battled back from an all in to get back to even with Greenstein.

Near the end, Klodnicki asked the floor man for two cupholders. Moments later a cocktail waitress appeared with two margaritas and put one on either side. Win or lose, one thing was for sure, it was tequila time!

In the end no amount of cocktails would have made a difference. Greenstein remained focused the entire time and the only time he looked the least bit shaken was when he had made trips on fifth street. Klodnicki laughed at the sickness of the situation and started for his chips. Greenstein folded before Klodnicki even had a chance to pick up his chips.

The final hand occured when Klodnicki got all in on third street. Greenstein held A-4-9 to Klodnicki's A-K-3. The cards were dealt out and by seventh Greenstein was showing A-4-4-9-9-J to Klodnicki's A-3-6-8-K-K. Greenstein turned over a 7 to give him a A-4-7-9-J. Klodnicki could have survived yet another all in if he turned up a 2, 4, 7, 9, T, or J for the win. Instead it was 3! Klodnicki's best/worst hand was A-3-6-8-K which was not good enough.

Chris Klodnicki cashed for $97,389 + 2 margaritas while Barry Greenstein took home $157,619 for his wint. Greenstein did what anybody would have done right after winning a bracelet. He took off and immediately ran off! He was still in the Limit Hold'em Tournament and needed to go see what he could do with his $11,000 remaining chips.

Event 26 - Heads Up! 1 year ago

The Razz tournament has reached heads-up status. Greenstein is up over a million in chips and Klodnicki is hovering around the $200,000 mark. The Bear is potentially just one hand away from winning bracelet number three, while Klodnicki will need some serious luck in order to catch the cards he needs to mount a comeback. Whatever happens, it should be soon! With the limits so high ($30,000/$60,000) massive chip leads can change hands in seconds.

What Would You Do For A Klodnicki Double Up?

Chris Klodniki managed to double up when he got all in against Greenstein on fourth street. Klodniki and Greenstein were both showing queens with Barry's Q-8 being slightly in the lead of Klodniki's Q-9. They got all in and turned up the cards. Greenstein had a pair of deuces and Kodniki had 2-4 underneath. Klodniki didn't have to wait long because Barry made two pair by sixth and was drawing dead.

Has What Is Known As The Wheel

After battling back from almost nothing, Klodnicki eliminated Chris Viox. In a breathtaking hand, Klodnicki had gotten Viox all in. Viox had A-2-4-6-7 by seventh street. Klodnicki held 2-3-4-5 and needed a six or a seven to win the hand. Klodnicki looked at his down card and flipped over an ace! He had made the stone cold nuts on the river to eliminate Viox and get heads up against Barry Greenstein.

Bored To Death?

Flatlining?

"Heads up Razz isn't that exciting," Klodnicki said to Greenstein just a few hands into the match. If playing heads up for a WSOP bracelet, with a chip deficit, against one of the best in the world doesn't get your blood pumping than it's time to check your pulse to see if you have one at all. Is there a doctor in the house?
