Day 3 Live Updates
Event 23 - Steike's Turn
Thanks to a major copnfrontation with end of Day 2 chip leader Andrew Jeffreys, David Steicke is now the leader. We're down to just five players and the action shows zero signs of slowing down.
Jeffreys Jolted (8th)
Aussie Andrew Jeffreys came into the final table with a slight chip lead. However, it didn't take long for him to lose that and now he's surprisingly gone out eighth.
In Jeffreys' last hand of the event, Chris Bjorin raised to $75k in late position and David Steicke reraised to 225,000.
Jeffreys then looked down at his hole cards and came up shoving his entire $646,000 in. Bjorin let it go, but Steicke made the call.
It turned out to be the classic confrontation of Jeffreys' K
K
against Steicke's A
A
.
The aces held, Steicke grabbed the $1.3 million pot and the chip lead with over $2 million and a shocked Jeffreys is out eighth cashing $63,598.
Kulicki Kicked (7th)
Dominik Kulicki went out seventh when he shoved into the aggressive caller at this final table - Blair Hinkle. Hinkle, of course, made the call with A
J
and needed help to knock out Kulicki and his Q
Q
. Help came in spades, although the re was only one on the A
A
10
flop bringing a fist pump from Hinkle.
The 5
turn and K
river made no difference and Kulicki was out seventh. He'll make $81,944 for the finish.
Bjorn Banked (6th)
He managed to double up a few times, but never really got off the short stack and Chris Bjorin is now out sixth. He'll cash $106,404 after shoving into a Blair Hinkle pre flop raise. Once again, Hinkle made the aggressive call with A
3
, but was slightly ahead of Bjorin's K
Q
this time.
A board full of blanks sealed Bjorin's fate while Hinkle looks more and more comfortable.

Event 23 - Dirksen Grabs Hold
We've reached the first break here at the final table and things are moving as expected. We've seen one elimination already and Dustin Dirksen has ridden a wave of aggressive play into the chip lead picking up a the majority of pots here in the early going.
Tayar Tazed (9th)
Stephan Tayar is headed to the cage to grab $45,252 after becoming the ninth place finisher here.
In his final hand, just the fifth of the final table, David Steicke made it 60,000 to play and Tayar shoved. Steicke made the call and was a heavy favorite with Q
Q
over the Frenchman's A
10
. The board brought very little excitement to the ESPN final table area and Tayar was golf clapped out of the room.
Bouncing Baby Bjorin
Chris Bjorin open shoved for his final $108,000 and got the call from Dustin Dirksen. Blair Hinkle then decided to push all in himself having Bjorin covered by almost $1 million in chips. This effectively pushed Dirksen off his hand and Hinkle showed K
J
for two overs to Bjorin's 10
10
.
The 10
5
4
flop pretty much sealed the triple for Bjorin but the Q
turn brought a myriad of chop and straight possibilities for Hinkle. The 6
river fell into neither of those categories and Bjorin had three times as many chips as when the hand began.
