Finally Fernandez Finished!( OUT - 4th)

Chip Lead Heads Up!

Jacobo Fernandez has been ousted from the competition, his luck finally running out.

He got his chips in in good shape, holding pocket Kings, but Seiver's A-8 won the battle as he spiked the flop, hitting his Ace to send the resilient Fernandez on his way.

Jacobo Fernandez is OUT, eliminated in 4th spot for $238,781.

Spreng Is Sprung (Out - 3rd)

Ben Sprengers raised it up to $100,000, receving a call from Dave Seidman.

The flop fell T 8 J.

After a check from Dave, Sprengers led for $100,000, only to now find Seidman making his move, check raising to $450,000. Sprengers shoved and Seidman called...

Seidman had 6 7 for a flush draw and gutshot whilst Ben tabled Q Q for the overpair. He has done a good job of hitting his draws today Seidman and once more he managed to do it, spiking a King on the river to the dismay of his opponent.

Ben Sprengers is OUT, eliminated in 3rd spot for $292,034.

This leaves Scott Seiver and Dave Seidman duking it out mano a mano for the bracelet!

Seiver has about a 5:3 chip lead...

An interesting level played out with several twists and turns as the remaining players home in on the bracelet.

Vamoose Vohra! (OUT -5th)

Vohra has been busted. When Dave Seidman popped it up to $100,000, Vohra moved over the top all-in, only to get called by Seidman.

Vohra tabled a pocket pair of fours and Seidman K T. Flip for stacks guys!

A King on the flop fired Seidman into the lead and when no four spiked on the turn and river, Seidman was left to rake in the pot whilst Rajesh Vohra is OUT, eliminated in 5th spot for $195,606.

Bullet-proof Fernandez

Hard To Kill!

Short stack Fernandez has been doing his best to get himself into contention pushing in whenever he can.

On the occasions he has been looked up, he has hung on to his tournament life with an admirable tenacity.

He shoved once from the small blind with Q-T, only to get instantly called by Sprengers, holding A-K.

He missed a Queen or Ten to pick up the pot that time, but the board made a straight on the river, keeping the final 4 handed. He then went on to win a coin flip, again versus Sprengers, his J Q spiking a Jack to pummel Sprengers' Eights and keep him in the hunt for the bracelet.

Super Seiver

The last few rounds have been almost exclusively dominated by Scott Seiver, the relentlessly aggressive player at one point picking up 7 out of 10 hands.

He is making a valiant and accomplished charge for the bracelet at this point.

Scott appears to be dominating the final table, raising, re-raising and stacking opponents with no small amount of skill.

His main source of irritation seems to be Dave Seidman, who has refused to be dominated constantly despite his chip deficit, coming over the top of Scott several times.

Sklar Hits The Bar

Destined For Bracelet Glory?

On man who was unable to stop the Scott Juggernaut, despite his best efforts, was Chuck Sklar.

Chuck popped it up to $80,000 from middle position, only to find Scott calling from the big blind.

The flop came out J 8 5. Both players checked.

The turn was the 2, which prompted Seiver to bet out $130,000. Sklar now moved in and was instantly called, Sklar showing down a move in A K, whilst Scott turned up an unlikely, and very sneakily played , pair of Aces.

Chuck was drawing dead, so the river Q did nothing to change things, meaning, Chuck Sklar is OUT, eliminated in 6th place, winning $154,600.

The rash of early eliminations came to an abrupt end in this level. The action hasn't slowed up though, quite the opposite.

It's a table full of aggressive players and some big pots are getting played out.

Chuck Up!

Chuck Sklar was getting pretty short and shoved on the button with J 7, picking up a call from Dave Seidman in the big blind, holding pocket 5 5.

Seidman faded the overcards on the 4 3 8 flop but a turned 7 was good news for Chuck and a 2 blank completed his double up at the hands of Seidman.

Sklar Wars!

After Seiver limped on the button, Chuck shipped his chips into the middle and once again he picked up action from Dave Seidman, these two stirring up quite a rivalry at the table.

Running Into Hands!

Chuck showed A 7 but was well behind the A T of Seidman, who had made a great call.

The flop fell 5 2 Q but a spiked 7 on the turn was bad news for Seidman, as the crowd oohed in sympathy at the likely bad beat on the cards.

Dave paired up with the A on the river, but as Chuck had one too, his top pair was trailing behind Chuck's Aces Up and Chuck doubled himself back into contention.

Ben Sprengs Into Action

When Ben Sprengers saw Rajesh Vohra re-raising Jacobo Fernandez's bet of $55,000 to $165,000 he looked down to find pocket Aces at the perfect time and shoved for $400,000.

Fernandez passed up his hand, but Rajesh, though on a steal with 9 3 felt priced in and made the call.

Looking good for Ben to double up, a flop of 7 2 T sent a few shudders down his spine, but he had nothing to worry about, dodging a spade on the 4 and 5 turn and river.

Scott has singularly refused to just sit on his massive chip lead, bringing his wall of chips into play regularly, winning many of the early pots.

He has tangled several times with David Seidman, with varied results.

Here's the low down.

Seid Turns The Tide

Dave Seidman has been getting pressurised by Seiver. After Seiver raised the button to $45,000, he re-popped him to $145,000, refusing to be bullied by the chipped up player.

Seiver was in no mood to back down though and pushed his $3 million stack into the middle very quickly.

Seidman sighed, checking round the table, to get an idea of the remaining chip stacks and laid it down...

However, he was soon to get stuck into Seiver once more.

In a raised pot preflop, Dave Seidman checked, and Scott now bet out $80,000 on the 8 9 4 flop.

Seidman made his move and check-raised to $320,000 only to be met by an instant push from Seiver.

He called, as he was pot committed, but Seiver had caught him with his hands in the till, tabling T J for an open ended straight draw as a jovial Seiver flipped up pocket cowboys.

Looking bleak for Seidman now, he only had eight outs to hit and the turn blanked out, the 4 appearing. He was about to be eliminated in 8th but then a miracle 7 fell on the river.

Fistpumps, whooping and hollering were the order of the day as he doubled through to roughly $1,600,000 chips.

Scott Seiver took the beat well, laughing jovially as he has been prone to do so far and still in possession of a huge stack of chips.

Geyer Gone! (OUT in 8th)

Busto!

Adam Geyer shoved from UTG with his shortstack, only to find the newly bolstered Seidman re-shoving from behind him.

He tabled Nines to Seidman's Aces, and despite a nine hitting the board, his set was no good by the river as an Ace popped out too.

Adam Geyer is OUT, eliminated in 8th spot, winning $94,481.

 

Deja Vu? (Henriksson OUT - 7th)

In a raised pot preflop, contested three way, Chuck Sklar bet out on the K 8 9, only to find Anders Henriksson moving in behind, and Ben Sprengers also shoving!

Sklar must've wondered what he had walked into and once he folded it became apparent.

Ben Sprengers turned over a pretty pair of bullets, but Henriksson had hit the flop harder, holding 9-9 for a set.

He was all ready to double up, but the cruel hand of the poker gods was to crush his dreams as incredibly a further ace spiked, for the 2nd elimination in a row involving a set of nines over Aces.

All this meant we lose a player, Anders Henriksson is OUT, in unfortunate fashion, winning $120,249 for his trouble.

The battle for braceleted glory continues!

Those players fortunate enough to make it through to the final table have reconvened to do battle across the felt as the $5,000 NLHE event plays out till we have our bracelet winner.

We haven't been playing for long, but already blood has been spilled.

Great Scott! (Freeman OUT - 9th)

The chip leader Scott Seiver was like a juggernaut yesterday and he wasted little time getting involved today, re-raising Scott Freeman's initial $41,000 raise to $120,000.

The rest of the table ducked out of the way, back to Freeman, who announced ALL-IN for his $450,000 stack!

Seiver could not have called faster, his chips ripping across the felt as he tabled pocket Queens.

Freeman turned over A K and a big coin flip was brewing between the two Scotts.

The flop was a doozy, rolling out 7 8 6 to give Freeman a flush draw to go with his overcards. Seiver tilted his head back and laughed heartily at this amazing turn of events.

The turn fell the 5, introducing some board split outs into the equation. Any nine or four would split it, or an Ace, King or diamond on the river would win it for Freeman.

It came...the 7 !

This blank meant Seiver won out over Freeman in the battle of the Scotts and Scott Freeman is our first player eliminated, OUT in 9th spot, winning $68,714.

Not-So-Hot Scott!

Before this hand Seiver was already the overwhelming chip leader, and this hand merely served to strengthen his advantage.
