Event 20 – Final Table – Derek Lerner gets Learn'ed (Eighth)
Derek Lerner just found out why Daniel Negreanu is one of the best players in the world in a Canadian vs. Canadian hand.
In the hand Negreanu bet from the small blind Lerner raised from the big blind. Negreanu called and the flop came J
6
3
. Negreanu bet and Lerner raised all-in. Negreanu called and flipped over Q
6
for middle pair, which had Lerner’s A
Q
beat.
The board finished with the 7
and finally the T
which means Negreanu is one step closer to his fourth WSOP bracelet and Lerner is off to the rail.
Lerner will receive $25,334 for busting out in eighth.

Event 20 - Final Table - Tran Tricked (Ninth)
We have our first casualty at the final table of Event 20 and his name is Hien Tran. The Tran-man got involved with Fu Wong, who was just one spot away from winning a bracelet earlier this summer, and ended up the loser.
In the hand Wong bet pre-flop and Tran called. The flop came Q
T
7
and Tran checked, Wong bet and Tran called. The dealer flipped over the 9
for the turn card and this time it was Tran doing the betting and Wong calling.
The river fell 9
and Tran bet his last $8,000. Wong called and flipped over pocket jacks two-pair. Tran mucked his hand and left the table. He will receive $18,782 for coming in ninth.
Negreanu-reffic
Daniel Negreanu is certainly doing his best to add another WSOP bracelet to his poker resume. The talkative Team PokerStars pro has moved into the chip lead after winning a bit three-way pot between Greg Wohletz and Richard Li and then in another hand hit a flush against Li.
