Event 11 - Phil Tom is Champion!
The $5,000 Shootout is over. Shortly after doubling up with pocket jacks against a pair and a straight draw, Mueller's run of cards came to an end.
The final hand happened when Greg Mueller completed from the small blind and Phil Tom checked. Both players checked when the flop came down 9

. The turn and river were bricks and Tom dragged the pot, $477,990, and the bracelet.
Mueller will get a check for $298,638 for his second place effort. Tom takes $477,990 and the bracelet!
"Not that I didn't need the money, but it was all about the bracelet," said Mueller.

Event 11 - Final Table - Heads-Up Begins
The dinner break is over and the players are back in their seats for the fifth level of the final round. One of the three barely had enough time to get comfortable. Leo Wolpert has been eliminated, paving the way for this heads-up match. Read on for details on that elimination and the chip counts for our final two.
The scene is reminiscent of Event 1 from last year's WSOP as Greg Mueller went heads-up against Steve Billirakis. He was unable to lock up the bracelet then but he's found another opportunity here tonight.
Wolpert Walloped (3rd)
Leo Wolpert has been eliminated, taking third place honors and $187,812. On his final hand Phil Tom folded his button and Wolpert shoved from the small blind for $425,000. Greg Muellre was in the big blind and, after some thought, he made the call.
We saw a chop pot was very likely as Mueller turned K

Mueller nails his kicker on fifth street and a bewildered Wolpert gets up to go.
