Event 9, Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better - Live Updates
Day 3 Live Updates
Kravchenko Last Man Standing
5 years agoIn the end there could be only one and that one was Alex Kravchenko. Although play went be back and forth for some time it seemed that Kravchenko would not be denied.
In the end, Kravchenko's huge chip lead proved to be an insurmountable challenge for the charismatic Bryan Devonshire. The final hand played out like this:
Devonshire decided to push all-in on a board of 4♣ Q♥ Q♣ 4♠ 8♦. He knew it was a mistake the moment he flipped over A♣ A♠ 8♠ 5♣. His concerns were confirmed when Kravchenko showed A♦ 10♠ 9♦ 4♥ for trip fours. Someone from the crowd shouted, "Go Moscow!" and it was all over.
Congratulations to Kravchenko the 2007 WSOP Event 9 winner!
More Bustages
5 years agoAfter a relatively slow start the casualities are starting to pile up. Bryan Adams and J.R. Reiss have both been eliminated from the tournament.
Adams was eliminated by Bryan Devonshire when Devonshire hit a full house. Reiss was eliminated in an unknown hand against Alex Kravchenko and John Varner.
Truckload of Eliminations!
5 years agoAfter merely surviving for most of the day Jordan Morgan, Jeff Calkins and Yueqi "Rich" Zhu have all been eliminated. It even happened in consecutive hands.
Calkins was eliminated first when he ran into two players that both had better hands then he did. Morgan was next in an unknown series of events and finally Zhu was busted by Bryan Andrews who hit a set of jacks.
Goodbye short stacks!

Dodging Bullets
Yueqi "Rich" Zhu is just trying to stay alive after losing a low and a high in one hand. It looked like he wouldn't survive the big blind but he actually doubles with jacks full.
