Barry Picked

"Boison" Barry Cales limps-in from the button and Michael Chu raises to $300,000 from the big blind. Cales moves all-in for $790,000 and gets an automatic call from Chu, who shows a pair of ladies (Q Q) to Cales' J 7. The flop comes A 3 2, and Cales is in a world of hurt. The turn is the 5 leaving the Boison drawing to a four for the chop, but the river is the K and Chu's queens hold to give him the check mark and give Cales the boot. Cales will receive $235,575 for his second-place finish.

We are now heads-up at the final table, with Tommy Vu and Michael Chu facing off for that bracelet. Chip counts have Vu with $2.9 million and Chu with $2.0 million. Stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion!

Close One for Cales

Barry Cales just survived a close call. Cales pushed all-in UTG and was called by Shane Schleger who was on the button. Cales shows A 8 but will need some help against Schleger who has A 10.

The flop comes J 4 9 which gives both players some interesting draws. Schleger with the straight draw and Cales with the flush draw. The turn comes 8 which makes Schleger a card closer to his straight but also gives Cales a pair. The final card is 8. Cales gets trip eights and wins the pot.

Amir Vahedi Gets Busted

With only $4,000 chips to his name Amir Vahedi is forced all-in UTG. Unfortunately for Vahedi, Shane Schleger not only calls his bet but pushes all-in himself for $219,000. Michael Chu decides to call Schleger (and Vahedi).

Vahedi shows a rather anemic 6 5 while Chu shows a healthier A J. Meanwhile Schleger flips over a potentially better A K.

The board comes A 8 3 4 4 and when the dust has settled Vahedi has been eliminated and "Shaniac" is the ultimate winner.

Daring Dolph Comes Up Big

Dolph Arnold has just doubled up. Again. This time his victim was Amir Vahedi. The board read J 9 2 and Arnold decides to take a chance with his hand of 10 7 by pushing all-in. Vahedi immediately calls and shows Q Q. Vahedi is in the lead but Arnold has a massive draw.

The turn comes Q, which gives a Vahedi a set but, more importantly, gives Arnold a chance for straight. The river is 8 giving Arnold his straight!

Vahedi is down to $10,000.

Dolph Arnold Makes His Move

Dolph Arnold just doubled up through Michael Gracz. Arnold moves all-in preflop for over $200,00 chips. Gracz decided to make the call and flips over A J. Arnold shows K Q and the flop comes 7 6 3 doing nothing to improve his hand. The turn comes 2 making Arnold's position dubious. Surprisingly the river is a king and Arnold doubles up on a pair.

Final Table

Robert Aron has been eliminated from contention. Severely short-stacked Aron moves all-in from the small blind for approximately $150,000 and gets called by Tommy Vu. Aron shows A Q while Vu has Q J.

Aron looks to be in the as the flop comes J 5 4 but things take a turn for the worse, for Aron, when the turn comes 9 giving Vu a chance for an open-ended straight. The river card is K spelling disaster for Aron and victory for Vu.
