Devilfish Crippled, Rebuilds

David "Devilfish" Ulliott limps in and is joined in the pot by Minh Ly and Burt Boutin. The flop comes J 7 6 and Ly bets out $105,000. Boutin raises to $800,000 total and Ulliott moves all-in. Ly folds out but Boutin calls, showing T 8 7 5 to Ulliott's 9 8 7 6. The turn is the 9 and Boutin makes a straight, and after the river is the Q, Boutin has doubled through Dave Ulliott, who has been crippled, left with about $160,000.

But the Devilfish begins to rebuild, first doubling through Sirous Jamshidi when his set of nines cracks Jamshidi's pair of aces, and doubling up again when his nine-high straight holds up against Jamshidi's nut flush draw.

Ulliott makes it three for three when he doubles through Erik Cajelais with A A J 8 to Cajelais' 6 6 5 4 on a board of A Q 7 6 J, doubling up the Devilfish to almost $900,000.

Update Summary 1 for Event 7

Cajelais Chipping up

Erik Cajelais has chipped up as of late, winning a $515,000 pot from Larry Jonsson when he turned the Wheel straight with A-2 on a board of 7-5-4-3-3, and earlier taking down a $350,000 pot when he induced a fold from David "Devilfish" Ulliott with a $220,000 bet on a board of A-5-5-J.

It used to be fashionably to talk about Erik Cajelais as one of the Next Big Things of poker, but in the past few months he has taken some time off from the tournament circuit and his aura has faded slightly. Needless to say, a victory in the biggest WSOP tournament so far this year would certainly be proof enough of his considerable talent.

Keston Klobbered

After Minh Ly raised to $105,000, Robin Keston came over the top all-in for another $150,000 and Sirous Jamshidi re-upped to $300,000. Ly called all-in and showed A A 7 7 to Keston's K K 8 6 and Jamshidi's A A J 2. The board came T 9 2 3 6 and Ly and Jamshidi split the pot while Keston headed to the rail, eliminated in ninth place for $57,721.
