Glorious Graves!

Tran Haunted By Graves

While play is officially heads-up, PokerListings.com has already interviewed the winner: Michael Graves. Michael got it all in with a pair of fives on a 4 5 7 flop, to take the bracelet when the final K T couldn't finish Theo Tran's straight draw.

Graves earns $742,121 for his first-place finish, while Tran makes $387,193 for his second-best effort.

Luman No Graves-Digger

Facing a raise from Michael Graves, Shawn Luman moved all-in with A 9. Graves called, showing a dominated A 8. The flop brought 7 4 5 for a gutshot, which the K delayed but did not stop.

The rivered 6 made Graves the suck-out straight; and sent Luman out in third place, earning $224,249 for his bad beat.

Incredible Three-Way Rounding!

*Spoilers* We're Heads-Up

Surreptitious reportage and shady dealings have revealed we are heads-up. What's more, the two players in question are apparently Michael Graves and Theo Tran. Yes, we sold our soul for this information and yes, the devil was short-changed on the deal.

Shawn's Gones

Facing a raise from Michael Graves, Shawn Hattem moved all-in. Graves folded; but Shawn Luman called holding pocket ladies to Hattem's A 9. The 2 T T 9 8 board brought no help for Hattem, who moves out in fourth with $161,330.

Chad Sent to His Graves

The eliminations are flying fast and furious out of the fourth of July tent party today. The latest casualty was Chad Batista, who had fought back from a short starting stack.

Michael Graves raised, Chad Batista re-raised, Graves hesitantly moved all-in and Batista called, holding Q Q. Graves flipped up A A; and then flopped trip aces to be safe. The A 6 6 K 7 board sent Batista out in fifth place with $129,064.

Tate Tran-sported

Short-stacked Kris Tate moved all-in, to be called by Michael Graves. Theo Tran re-raised to fold Graves; and tabled pocket queens. Tate turned up J T and couldn't quite straighten out on the K 4 9 2 8 board. Tate earns $112,931 for sixth place.

Isaac Hazes

Isaac Haxton lost a big pot to Theo Tran when his K-8 was out-kicked by Tran's A-K. Right after that, Haxton moved in from the button with T 8 to Chad Batista's A 8. The A Q Q J 5 board axed Haxton in seventh place with $96,798.

Looks Good Leaving.

One More Time

Once again, a player moved in with pocket tens; and once again Isaac Haxton called with Big Slick. This time it was Shawn Luman who committed his chips, but the 6 J 8 2 4 board broke the curse which ended Arnold Spee and Thierry Cazals' day.

End of Spee's Spree

Arnold Spee was the second to commit his chips to pocket tens; and the second to be busted with them. Spee raised, Isaac Haxton re-raised, Spee moved all-in and Haxton called. Spee showed T T to Haxton's A K; and was immediately outf-flopped.

The 4 K 2 2 4 board gave Spee $80,665 for eighth place; but we give him first prize for being the best-dressed player of the tournament.

Thierry of a Dead Man

Facing one raise, Theo Tran re-raised, to be bumped up even higher by Thierry Cazals. The original raiser folded, Tran moved all-in; and Cazals made the call with the fateful pocket tens. Tran's jacks took it from the 4 4 3 K A board, sending Cazals out in ninth with $72,599.
