Day 3 Live Updates

R-Miz is Champion! 2 years ago

Robert Mizrachi has done it! After doubling up heads-up opponent Rene Mouritsen three times in a row, Mizrachi was able to get all the chips in the middle one last time, making the best hand and sending Mouritsen to the rail in second.

Rene raised the pot from the small blind and Robert made the call. The flop came Qs 9d 3d and after a check from Mizrachi, Mouritsen bet out. Mizrachi then raised, enough to put Mouritsen all-in, and Rene made the call. The two players are on their feet as they turn over their hands.

Mouritsen: Qc 7d As 5d

Mizrachi: 9c 9h Ts 5h

Mizrachi was in the lead with a set of nines and after the board finished out 5c 6s it was all over! Rene Mouritsen is out in second and will take $464,877 while Robert Mizrachi takes the bracelet, the title and $768,889!

Back to Back to Back Double-Ups 2 years ago

Rene Muritsen has come back from the brink of destruction, getting himself back in this match with three quick double-ups. The first came when Mouritsen moved all-in from the small blind for about $400,000. Mizrachi made the call and the two players turned over their hands.

Mouritsen: Ah 8s 5c 2c

Mizrachi: Kd Qs Jd Tc

The board came Ks 9s 7h 4c 4d and Mouritsen's pair of kings is good for the double-up.

Double-Up #2

Mouritsen raised the pot from the small blind and Mizrachi moved all-in. Rene made the call and the two players turned over their hands:

Mouritsen: Ac 8s 6c 3d

Mizrachi: 6d 4h 4c 3c

The board came Ah Tc 6s As 2c, giving Mouritsen a full house and another double-up.

Double-Up #3

The next step in Rene Mouritsen's road back to the top came just a few hands later, with Mouritsen making yet another full house to double-up again. All the money went in before the flop once again and the players showed down their hands:

Mouritsen: Ah 8h 7h Js

Mizrachi: 9c 8c 7c 7s

The board came Kc Jh 9s Jc As, giving Mouritsen the boat and another double-up. After this hand Mouritsen was back up to almost $2 million of the $6.28 million in play.
