Mitch Maples Eliminated 9th ($14,578)
5 years agoMitch Maples, who sounds like some kind of super hero, has hit his kryptonite. Maples was busted out 9th by Thang Luu. Here's how the hand played out:
Maples raises to $30,000 and Luu calls. The flop comes J♣ 10♠ 5♦ and again Maples bets and Luu calls. The turn comes 7♥ and Maples pushes all-in. Luu calls and shows his hand.
Luu: A♥ 2♣ 10♦ K♥
Maples: A♦ 3♥ J♥ J♠
Luu has got the low with A-2 but Maples has the high with a set of jacks. Things change considerably when the river comes Q♥ giving Luu the broadway straight. Goodbye Maples, we hardly knew ya!
