Spegal wins!!
Michael Spegal has defeated Canadian Gavin Smith to win WSOP Gold.
With Smith on the button he made it $120,000 to go and Spegal went upstairs to $240,000. Gavin pushed his entire stack of $415,000 in the middle and Spegal called flipping over the A♠ 10♠.
Smith had 5♣ 5♦ for the slight edge, but Segal picked up a flush draw when the flop came J♦ 6♠ 3♠. When the turn revealed the Q♠ the flush was complete and Smith's bracelet hopes over - for now. I think the river was the K♦, but it doesn't really matter people - stay focused here - We have a Winner!

Back from Dinner; Heads-Up Continues

Michael Spegal has continued to keep Canadian Gavin Smith at bay and still has a more than four to one chip lead in the match.
Pot for Gavin
Spegal limps from the button for $40k and Smith checks his option in the big blind. The flop comes down 9-9-2 rainbow and Gavin bets out $40k. Spegal calls and the turn is the Q♠. Gavin decides to check it this time and Spegal takes the opportunity to bet out $100,000. Gavin calls and the river brings another queen. Gavin pots it for around $350k and after a bit of thought Spegal releases the hand.

Gavin Likes the Cameras
While still taking the match seriously it's obvious that the cameras are not deterring Gavin from his usual antics. Collecting money from side bets while still at the table, Smith comments, "Pleasure doing business with you," to the man handing him the hundred dollar bills.
