Young Gun!

Ryan Young
Winnar!

Ryan Young has done it!

Moving all in with A 7 Young got the call from a much shorter stacked Dustin Dirksen holding K J.

A flopped seven was enough to get the job done as the final board of 10 7 6 4 Q held neither a Jack nor a King.

Dirksen put up a good fight heads up and will cash $381,381 for his efforts, but Young takes down the bracelet and $615,955 payday.

Epic!

Back the $#@! Up!
Here's the view, but the audio is good!

This heads-up battle is quickly reaching epic status.

Dustin Dirksen fought his way in to the chip lead only to see Ryan Young get all in with 10-3 and both a 10 and a 3 on the board.

Dustin called with 10-J, but the board did not pair and no Jack came giving Young an almost 6-1 chip lead.

Dirksen has been chipping away ever since and refuses to go down easy.

When Ryan pushed all in pre flop after a Dirksen raise in a recent hand, Dustin folded an Ace face up showing he's not willing to risk his tournament life with just any Ace.

Trimby Tripped Up!

Michael Trimby has been eliminated in fifth and will cash $62,048 after moving in from the cutoff with Q 8. His aggressive play was stiffled when Dustin Dirksen called in the BB holding K 9 and it held up.

The K 9 4 all but sealed the Irishmen's fate. But the K turn and 10 river sent him made sure he was sent out into the hallway where the 14 loud Irishmen he travelled to the WSOP with were waiting.

And then there were five!

Paul Cheung is out sixth. He moved all in following a Nam Le UTG raise. Le called with J J and it was enough to send cheng home with his 5 5.

The final board of K J 9 10 A never put Le's lead in jeopardy.

Cheung takes home $79,743 for sixth.

We're into Level 20 and Ryan Young holds a massive chip lead with almost $4 million in chips.

Jain Out!

Raj Jain is out seventh after his cowboys got cracked.

He went all in over the top of a Ryan Young reraise on the flop reading Q 7 6. Unfortunately for him, Ypung called holding the 7 6 for two pair.

He got no help from the turn or river and heads to the cage to pick up $62,048. Not bad for the man who headed into the day the short stack.

Jain doubles

Raj Jain doubled through Michael Trimby when the loose playing Trimby pushed all in holding A 8 and ran into Jain's A A.

Jain's rockets held on a board of Q J 9 9 5.

Trimby's loose play left him with just $65,000 in chips following the hand. Jain, who came in the short stack had over $750,000.

However, Trimby pushed in on the very next hand holding A 9 and Dirksen called. The flop of K J 7 put Trimby behind and the 4 didn't help. But the miracle A on the river did and Trimby doubled up.

Nam moving up!

We're headed into Level 20 and Nam Le is building his stack.

Nam took down a $200,000+ pot from Dustin Dirksen raising $100,000 from late position with K J and getting the loose call from Dirksen holding A 8.

When the flop came down 10 10 Q, a good one for Le's K-J, he bet out $110,000. Dirksen couldn't make the call and Le took it down.

A few hands later, Michael Trimby made an aggressive play raising in late position with 4 3 only to see Le come over the top $128,000.

Trimby tanked for a minute but ran and hid folding the weak hand. The hole card cam revealed Le made the move with A J.

His stack now sits around $750,000 and growing.

Holmes sent home!

We have just eight players remaining after Joe Holmes was eliminated by Dustin Dirksen.

Dirksen raised UTG and it folded around to Holmes in the BB. Looking down at J 10 and over at an aggressive Dirksen, Holmes moved in.

Dustin called flipping over 7 7 and it did more than just hold up. Dirksen made quads on the turn, crushing Holmes and sending him to the cage to pick up $36,751.

Playing tight early on Ryan Young has seen very few flops, but retains the chip lead.

Early Action!

Darren Glenn lost a good amount of his chips with A-Q against short Stack Raj Jain's A-K in an early hand, but managed to double up a few hands later.

He moved all in holding 8 8 and got the call from Dustin Dirksen on the button with A 6.

The board of 4 7 2 10 4 did not match Dirksen's one over and Glenn picked up the pot.

Let's Get it Started!

The cards are just about in the air on the tape delayed coverage from the Rio. Things will get going at Level 19 and the big blinds mean many of the short stacked players will be forced to make an early move.

Ryan Young and Dustin Dirksen have more chips than the rest of the field combined and it should be interesting to see if they can hold on for what should be a monster heads up match. Anything can happen if a short stack sees a run of cards, however, and PokerListings.com will be here to bring it to you.
