We told you these things would be coming fast and furious. Not one, but three players have busted out in the last few minutes. First, Matt Vengrin was sent to the cage to collect $43,378 for his ninth place finish. The now local Las Vegas student moved all in for $680,00 after Alex Jacob raised UTG to $150,000. Jacob went into the tank, but emerged calling, flipping over the K♣
. Vegrin smiled as he flashed his A♦
but the smile was wiped off his face when Jacob hit a Q on the flop. The final board of Q♠
was no help to Vengrin so he'll head back to class without the gold this time around and the rich get a little richer as Jacob's stack is growing again.
Bart Hanson was the next to go when he moved all in for almost $360,000 and ended up in a race with Andreas Krause. Hanson had the A♠
, but it wasn't enough to beat Krause's pocket Queens. Bart will take home $55,246 for his troubles.
Next to go was U.S. Army boy Thad Smith taking home seventh Place. Smith moved all in with K♦
but was bested by Craig Crivello's pocket fives. Crivello actually flopped a full house, fives over nines. When the board blanked for Smith, he was sent packing. Don't worry though, he'll take $73,661 back to the barracks for three days work. Significantly more than a soldier's salary.
