Day 3 Live Updates

Ralph'd! Schwartz is the Winnar!

Ralph Schwartz raises from the button and is called by Bill Gazes in the big blind. The flop comes Q 6 4 and Gazes bets out. Schwartz raises to $60,000 and Gazes makes the call. The turn is the 3 and Gazes checks. Schwartz bets out and Gazes, who would have to call all-in to continue, tanks.

He sits lost in thought for a few minutes before finally making the call and showing K-K-7-6 to Schwartz's 8-5-3-2 for a pair of kings to Schwartz's six-high straight. The river is the 2 and Schwartz earns the check-mark, scooping the pot and winning his first World Series of Poker bracelet!

For his runner-up finish, Gazes earns $153,408, while first-place Schwartz takes home $275,683, as well as the bracelet and the glory of an exclusive PokerListings.com interview. Congratulations to both finalists!

Guo! Yuebin Yanked!

Just after the final table switches to Omaha Eight-Or-Better, Ralph Schwartz and Yuebin Guo see a flop come A K T. Schwartz bet out and Guo called, and the turn brought the 3, prompting another bet from Schwartz and an all-in call from Guo, who showed A-3-x-x for aces and treys to Schwartz's A-Q-4-3, also for aces and treys. The river card was the Q, however, giving Schwartz a better two pair and sending Guo to the rail in third. Ya boy will take home $99,264 for his efforts.

We are now heads-up between Ralph Schwartz and Bill Gazes, with Schwartz holding roughly a 12 to 5 ($1.2 million to $550,000) chip lead. Hold on tight for the thrilling conclusion!

Three-Handed Play Continues; Gazes Doubles

Three handed play continues from the ESPN final table in the Amazon Room, with Bill Gazes clinging to life. The former hubby-of-Kristy and friend of a former Navy SEAL and would-be assassin (see our WPT World Championship coverage) recently doubled through Yuebin Guo during the latest Hold'em level, with the hand unfolding as follows:

Gazes raised from the button and was called by Guo in the big blind. The flop came T 6 5 and Guo bet out. Gazes made the call and the turn was the 2, prompting a check from Guo and a bet from Gazes. Guo made the call and the river was the 7. Gazes bet out again, putting the last of his chips in the middle and garnering a call from his opponent, who cannot beat Gazes' A-6 and thus doubles up Wild Bill, maintaining three-handed play.

The latest chip counts have Ralph Schwartz in the chip lead with $800,000, followed by Guo with $650,000 and Gazes with $350,000. Stay tuned for more as the action unfolds.

Oh Noez!!!1 Ivey Wilts

Phil Ivey's $2 million prop bet (see below) will not be paid off on this day. While in the studliest of games, the FullTiltPoker pro and poker legend got all-in showing 7 9 6 and was called by Yuebin Guo, who showed T Q Q. Ivey turned over 5-7 in the hole, while Guo had naught but his measly pair of ladies. The ladies would hold up, however, as Ivey could not make two pair, trips, or hit his gutshot straight by Seventh Street and so was eliminated in fourth place for $65,424.

The prop bet: Ivey was laid 5-1 that he would not win a bracelet this year, and bet $2 million of his own money against an unknown gambler, who may or may not be Doyle Brunson, or who may in fact be a consortium of high stakes pros. With two final tables and $10,000,000 on the line, Ivey has come close, but once again the consortium's money is safe...for now.

Here are the updated chip counts:

Mizrachi Mizerable

During another Razz segment, Robert Mizrachi gets all-in with Bill Gazes and sees Kristy's ex make an eight low to just edge out his nine-low. Grinder's brother is thus eliminated, finishing in fifth place for $49,632 and cashing for the fourth time so far in the WSOP. If only Michael could cash like that...

Guo moving up!

Playing Hold'em, Yuebin Guo has increased his stack after picking up two big hands.

First, he hit trip queens on a flop of Q Q 6 and just called a Phil Ivey bet. The turn came the 2 and both players let it go. When the river came the 3, Guo bet it, Ivey called, but he mucked when Guo turned over Q-9.

Two hands later Guo hit top pair on a Q 6 3 flop, bet out and flat called an Alexander Jung raise.

The 6 on the turn was bet similarly, with Jung betting out and Guo raising this time around. Jung called and called again when Guo bet the 8 river. Guo's two pair was the winner as Jung mucked.

Guo Going Good!

Yuebin Guo has doubled through Robert Mizrachi.

Playing stud, Guo got the last of his chips in the middle showing a pair of fours against Mizrachi's A K.

When the cards were flipped up, Guo showed a set of fours to Mizrachi's two pair, Aces and Kings.

Two Queens on the next two streets filled Guo up and Mizrachi doubled him up.

Meanwhile, Phil Ivey's stellar stud play has increased his chip lead, he's sitting on about a half million in chips.

Schwartz the second to go!

Rick Schwartz is the second casualty on Day 3 as he told PokerListings.com all his chips went in the middle with 3-K on a 5-4-2 flop and his opponents Q-4 held up.

Rick, who put most of his chips in before the flop, was shortstacked coming in and said he felt like gambling in Hold'em rather than wait for the costly streets of the other games.

There's a $13,085 paycheck waiting for Rick at the cage as there are now only 11 players left in this one.
