Event 20, Seven Card Stud Hi-low-8 or Better - Live Updates
Day 3 Live Updates
Winnar!!
5 years agoRyan Hughes has won Event 20, Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo Eight or Better with a run of unthinkable cards.
Heads up lasted mere minutes with Hughes taking control on a hand where Min Lee put most of his chips in on fifth street holding 8♣ 8♥ 2♦ against Hughes' 9♦ K♣ 6♠. When Ryan hit the 9♠ on sixth and bet out, Lee folded, leaving him crippled.
Two hands later, Min was all in holding just J♦ 8♦ on fourth street.
Ryan held the J♥ 10♥ at the time, but finished up 5♥ 10♣ 10♦ 10♠ 6♠ for quads.
The 6♦ 4♥ 3♥ 4♦ 4♣ gave Lee trips, but that clearly wasn't any match for the steamroll job Hughes put on this final table in the last hour.
He's the champ and he'll cash $176,358 for the win. Lee goes home $97.461 richer.
Raymer Done!
5 years agoLosing pot after pot to Ryan Hughes, Greg Raymer went from riches to rags and has now busted out in fourth place.
He'll pick up $41,460 and a real hate on for Hughes who crippled him with two pair then dusted him off a few hands later.
Hughes is the new boss, if he's the same as the old boss, he'll be next out! Don't bet on it though.
The players have gone up another level and at $30,000/$60,000 things are moving fast!
Grabbing a spot on the Rail!
5 years agoSteve Graboski is done for the day.
Graboski spent a while at the top of the mountain, but came crashing down when the 4♣ 5♣ J♣ 6♣ he was showing wasn't enough to beat Greg Raymer's set of sevens. No club in the hole we can only imagine.
Graboski picks up a nice $32,178 for fifth and we roll on with Raymer sitting on better than $700,000 in chips. More than the entire table combined.
Funny, but on Day 1 of the event he was chatting with David Williams, telling him he wanted to bust everyone he plays with. Looks like he might get his wish this time around!
Weir Wasted!
5 years agoJust a few hands after doubling up, Jim Weir has gone broke.
First he hit a pair of aces and held the low to double his stack against Ryan Hughes and then his 3♠ A♠ 8♠ 5♣ J♠ 9♥ Q♥ was beaten by Greg Raymer's 10♥ K♥ 5♥ A♥ 4♠ K♦ 10♣.
Weir will take home $24,443 for sixth and Raymer's up over $500k in chips.
Ware is he?
5 years agoRon "Grumpy" Ware will add $18,873 to the almost ten grand he cashed in Event 9 the Omaha Hi-Lo Split tournament after going out in seventh place.
He must like Hi-Low but found niether the Hi nor the Lo with all his chips in the middle this time.
Greg Raymer raked his chips and is now the chip boss!
Tight!
5 years agoThe first hour of play has been pretty tight at this final table.
Min Lee got all his chips in the middle, but pulled out a split and is still in. His is a fairly small stack though and his day could be over shortly.
Steve Graboski has grabbed the chip lead and is holding on to almost twice the chips of anyone close to him.
More to come...as always at PokerListings.com!
Short Day, Big Payday!
5 years agoAdam Spiegelberg has gone out in eighth. He'll pick up $13,923 after going all in with an Ace showing, but mucking when Steve Graboski made the wheel.
It has five spokes in it and Spiegelberg can ride it all the way to the cage.
The Action is Underway
5 years agoThe cards are in the air and the play is into level 17.
2004 Main Event champ Greg Raymer is in contention, but this is Hi-Lo, it's anybody's game and it could take some time to seperate the chumps from the champ.
Stay tuned to PokerListings.com for all the hot Stud action. Updates every hour and all the bust outs you can eat!
