After taking down what Hellmuth called, "the most painless victory of all eleven bracelets," Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan joined him at center stage for the bracelet presentation. Nothing but kind words and congratulations were exchanged between the three with each of them agreeing that Phil's victory here would spur the group on to bigger and better achievements. . In bad shape going to the flop, Phil is looking to spike a trey, the wheel or some kind of four-carded miracle.
Perhaps the dealer was aware of the significance of the next five cards off the deck since he dealt the flop 9 4 3
, giving Hellmuth the lead with a pair of threes. Phil had to dodge a ten or running clubs and after the board finished out Q J it was all over. Andy Philacheck is out in second for $394,594 and Phil Hellmuth has his eleventh bracelet!
