19. Dianne Cobb
20. Louis Russo
Mimi's Out
3 years agoMimi got all-in with her last ante, and didn't double-up. The winning hand had K-A-2-4-5-4-A - two-pair with aces and fours. He took Mimi's chips and a huge pot from another player.
Mimi goes home in 21st place.

Break!
3 years agoIt's break time, players. Take a breather - it may be quite a long night.
We are down to four tables and it's looking pretty stacked.
Barry Looks Good
Barry Greenstein is looking mighty with a mountain of chips. He is evidently the chip leader, according to PokerListings.com's quantitative analysis.
Barry's mentee and former girlfriend Mimi Tran is also still in the green with him. 2004 WSOP Main Event winner Greg Raymer is also looking healthy as the player field quickly narrows. Paul Darden is still fighting hard for his spot, but it looks like he's sticking around for a while.
Eliminations
Here are the most recent eliminations, before the break:
29. Lewis Lipsey - $4,259
30. Charles Khoury - $4,259
36th Place Elimination: Bill Chen
3 years agoBill Chen has been eliminated from the tournament in 36th place.
Mimi Tran has built up her stack through Paul Darden, who has a mere $8,000 left. Tran has close to $50,000 in chips.
Apres Dinner:
3 years agoWe're back from dinner and down to 5 tables. John Womack is the most recent elimination, in 40th place. He's taking home $3,612.
We made the money, and everyone who's still bubbling at the table will take something home.
WSOP officials have decided that the final 8 players will decide if we play down to the winner, or if final table action will resume tomorrow afternoon.
Here's some recent action:
Paul Darden Building His Stack
Paul Darden took John Womack with a full house, twos over kings. John was all-in but he had only 6-6-7-6-3-5 - not bad - but the set of sixes wasn't enough to save him. Luckily he lost at the right time and he is taking home some cash.
Bill Chen's stack is starting to shrivel, and Mimi Tran is picking up some minor pre-flop pots. Stay tuned to see who makes it to the final eight.
Pre-Dinner Update: Six Tables, Five To Go
3 years ago46 players are left and Mimi Tran, Barry Greenstein, Greg Raymer and Bill Chen are among the name players who are still sitting strong at their 7-Card-Stud tables.
We are going on dinner break in fifteen minutes.
Here's some recent action that's been going on:
Greg Raymer Takes A Big Pot
Greg had a hand of 2♣ 2♠ A♣ J♥, and it was four-handed until 4th street. Then it was down to just Greg and one other opponent, and the other player had 7♠ Q♥ 2♥ 4♣.
Raymer revealed A♥ J♠ giving him 2-pair, and he built his stack up to almost $65,000.
Bill Takes A Hit
Bill Chen had 5♠ K♦ 2♦ 4♦ showing, versus his opponent's 3♣ 6♣ 2♥ A♥. On 4th street his opponent bet $2,000 and Bill called. His opponent flipped over K♠ and 4-5 in the hole, giving him a straight. He took the pot.
At the same table, the player to the left of Bill took a nice pot when she won a 2-handed play with a pair of aces.
Level 12 in the Haus
3 years agoWe've reached Level 12 and here are the new structure sees a $200 ante, $1,000 completion and $1,000/$2,000 betting limits.
Thor Hansen has been eliminated after he busted on a flush draw courtesy of Fred Goldberg, and Avner Levy and Bill Munley also having been sent packing in recent times.
Bill Chen doubled up when he got all-in with a pair of queens in the hole and couldn't improve. His opponent, thankfully, could only muster a pair of sevens, and Chen is now up to about $15,000.
More Studly Updates
3 years agoArieh Assassinated
Josh Arieh is in the barn playing in the $2,500 HORSE event. This means he has been eliminated from this tournament. Detective work is PokerListings.com's forte.
Enright Spanks Ivey
Like Billie Jean King versus John McEnroe, Barbara Enright has smoked Phil Ivey, sending the FullTiltPoker pro to the rail with two pair, sixes and nines, to Ivey's straight draw, flush draw, and y-chromosome. Later, Phil!
Also eliminated...
Max Pescatori and John Juanda. So long, fellas.
Studmuffins
3 years agoImportant Tournament Announcement
We've just learned that the tournament director will take a vote of the final eight players to determine whether they will play down to a bracelet tonight. The vote must be unanimous, and will likely hinge on how late this tournament runs. We've lost forty since play began today, so take that however you will.
Grinder Nosed
Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi has been eliminated after getting the last of his short-stack in with two pair and running into an opponent's trips.
Studs Underway
3 years agoDay 2 of the Seven-Card Stud event is underway from the Amazon Room at the Rio, with 137 players returning to ostensibly play down to the bracelet. Rumors abound regarding the adding-on of a third day, and PokerListings.com (who never met a rumor we didn't like) will continue to report it until that rumor becomes fact. Stay tuned.
