Allen Cunningham has taken down the $5,000 World Championship Pot Limit Hold'em event at the 2007 World Series of Poker.
Heads-up with Jeffrey Lisandro, Cunningham took down a $1 million pot when he limp-called and then check-called the flop of 7
6
3
. When Lisandro checked the 5
turn, Cunningham bet out $300,000 and took down the pot to give himself a more than 3:1 chip advantage.
A few hands later, Lisandro raised to $165,000 on the button and Cunningham re-upped to $495,000. Lisandro came over the top all-in for his last $400,000 and Cunningham called, showing K
9
to Lisandro's pocket queens. The flop came A
8
3
as the tension mounted and the crowd got on their feet. The turn was the K
and the crowd cheered wildly as Cunningham took the lead. The river card was the 7
, giving Cunningham his fifth WSOP bracelet and $487,287.
For second place, Jeffrey Lisandro earns $294,260. Congratulations to both finalists and to the WSOP for finally producing a marquee heads-up match.

Back from dinner this heavyweight heads up battle has started out slow with both players picking up the blinds and one big pot chopped up.
Making it $120,000 to go pre flop, Allen Cunningham was called by Jeff Lisandro and the flop came down K
7
2
.
Cunningham bet out $150,000 and Lisandro made the call. The Q
turn was checked down as was the 2
river. Cunningham felted the 7
6
and Lisandro showed the 7
6
for a chopped pot.
As they continue to move back and forth, the blinds are going up and right now both players have around $2 million in chips.
