Event 11, World Championship Seven Card Stud - Live Updates
Day 3 Live Updates
Winnar!!
5 years agoChris Reslock is the Seven Card Stud World Champion. The Atlantic City Poker Pro bested a field chock full of poker superstars to take home the gold.
On the last hand of the tournament all the chips went in on sixth street with Ivey holding (7♣ 7♥)-8♥ Q♦ 8♠ 9♠ and Reslock holding (T♣ T♠)-4♦ T♦ K♦ 2♠. Reslock is out in front with his three kings and Ivey is in need of some help. The last cards are dealt with Reslock receiving the J♥ and Ivey mucking after taking a quick peek.
Phil Ivey takes second and a fat payday of $143,820.
Reslock will cash $258,453 and can now be called a World Champion - Stud!
Heads Up Baby!
5 years agoDavid Oppenheim started the day with the chip lead, but he'll end it in third place.
Chris Reslock, rolling over the entire table the last few hands, bombed Oppenheim with two pair after David stuck his short stack in the middle on fourth street.
The Full Tilt Pro will pick up $93,060 for third and his WSOP drams will have to wait for another day.
Phil Ivey will have to come from behind against Reslock with just $325,000 to Reslock's $1.4 million.
Pezzin Plucked!
5 years agoPat Pezzin is gone after his Jacks were bested by David Oppenheimer's set of sixes.
Pezzin, who has cashed at a WPT event already this year, will collect $61,335 as the tourney is now three handed. Keep it locked on PokerListings.com and we'll let you know how it all shakes down.
Phil Ivey has the chip lead but the other two are not far behind.
Oppenheim Rules!
5 years agoFull Tilt Pro David Oppenheim continues his dominance at the final table as the players have headed off on a 15-minute break.
Oppenheim has almost $650,000 in chips at last count - close to $170k more than Atlantic City Poker Pro Chris Reslock who currently sits second.
Going Fast!
5 years agoIf things keep up at this rate we'll have a champ by the end of the hour as Ted Lawson is the latest to be sent packing.
The Florida native and 2004 WSOP Pot-Limit Omaha Bracelet Winner will take home $35,532 for sixth, adding to his more than $1.6 million career earnings as a pro.
Au Revoir!
5 years agoParis cardroom manager Oriane Teysseire has been eliminated. She'll take $27,072 back to the Gaillon Poker Room in France thanks to the seventh place finish.
They don't even spred Stud over there so her top finish against the Superstar field that began the event comes as quite a shock - even to our very confident French sources.
Things are beginning to get very interesting here!
Marco Done!
5 years agoMarco Traniello has gone broke. beginning the Final Table short stacked, it didn't take long for Marco to bust out.
Traniello had seven cashes at the 2006 WSOP and made one final table. Picking up $19,458 for his eight place finish in this stud event is a great start for Marco in 2007.
The Action is Underway
5 years agoThings have just started rolling at the final table and Phil Ivey looks relaxed. But that could be due to the fine work of the massage therapist in his employ at the moment.
But seriously, the action has started out a little tight. In fact, we haven't past fourth street yet in any of the first few hands. Stay tuned though, PokerListings.com will have it when the chips start flying.
Stacked!
5 years agoIt's final table time kids and this one is stacked. Phil Ivey is looking for bracelet number six, Full Tilt Pro David Oppenheim has a big chip lead and the rest of the field are no slouches.
Expect hourly updates recapping all the action and bustouts as they happen. You know we have the ballingest coverage out there so stick around. The cards are about to fly!
