Event 16, $1,500 No-limit Hold'em Shootout - Live Updates

Players begin with $1,500 in tournament chips. One player advances from each table of the first round to the second round. The number of players advancing from each second-round table to the final table will depend on the number of entries.

Round Two will begin 60 minutes after the conclusion of the final Round One table. Players will start Round Two with $15,000 in tournament chips, and chips will carry over from Round Two to the final table. The final table will begin from the point at which the earliest Round Two table concludes. All levels up to the final table will last 60 minutes. Final table levels will be 90 minutes and offer breaks every two rounds. Players will be in the money when they advance from their first table. Play on the first day will last until the final table is set. Final table play will resume at 2 p.m. on June 18. The 2004 No-Limit Shootout was won by Phil (John) Nguyen, who earned $180,000 for his efforts. This year's winner will take home $269,100 of the $1,076,400.

In less than 20 minutes Anthony Reategui has busted out 4 people. First Allen Goldstein then he called Kenny Robbins and Ted Lawson's all-in bet. Kenny Robbins showed K-K, Ted Lawson showed J-J and Anthony Reategui showed 9-9. The flop came 2 4 5. The only heart out was a 9 of hearts in Anthony Reategui's hand. On the turn came the 9 that improved Anthony Reategui's hand into a winning hand, the river was the 4. On the next hand he called Young Phan's all-in bet and they showed A-9 for Young Phan and K-Q for Anthony Reategui. The flop came A 8 8, putting young Phan in a good spot. The turn brought the J, giving Anthony Reategui 9 outs as his K was K. The river fell and it was the 3 that fullfilled Anthony Reategui's flush and Young Phan is out in fourth place. Young Phan wins $64,585 for his placement.

Biggest stacks clash

The two biggest stacks crashed in the largest pot of the evening. This is what happened, Allen Goldstein made it 12k to go and Anthony Reategui re-raised it to 30k, Allen then re-raised all-in and was called immediatly. Allen turned over pocket 9's and Anthony Reategui turned over pocket queens. Board came: As-10 2 7 4 and Allen is out in eighth place since Anthony Reategui had him covered.
