Event 13, $5,000 No-limit Hold'em
Players begin with $5,000 in tournament chips. All levels up to the final table will last 75 minutes. Final-table levels will be 90 minutes with breaks every two rounds. A 60-minute dinner break will follow level 6. Play on the first day will last until the final table or until the the 12th level is completed (whichever comes first). Play will resume at 2 p.m. on June 15.
Reigning champion Thomas Keller earned $382,020 after defeating 254 players. This year's winner will have to battle a field of 466, nearly double the 2004 field. The total prize pool for the 2005 event is $2,190,200, with a first-place prize of $657,100.
