Over! Deeb Wins WPT Invitational!
On the first hand of heads-up play, Nick Gonzalez is first to act.
"How much do you have behind, Freddy?" he asks.
"You're serious?"
"No," Gonzalez says. "Just joking." Then he moves all-in, and that's no joke.
Deeb quickly calls, turning up 8
8
, and Gonzalez is behind with A
6
. He's going to need an ace or some trickery to stay alive, but the flop comes J
7
3
and the eights retain the advantage.
The turn is the 6
and the actor picks up some outs, but the river card is the K
and the eights are good. Freddy Deeb has won the WPT's Celebrity Invitational!
For the win, Deeb takes his second WPT title as well as $100,000 in prize money and a seat at the $25k WPT World Championship in April.
Deeb has announced he'll donate half of his winnings to charity, so cheers to him.
Gonzalez, who finished sixth in the Full Tilt Poker Pro-Am Equalizer for $25,000, earns $50,000 for his second-place finish.
Congratulations to all of the finalists and especially Deeb!

Hall Defamed (3rd)
Freddy Deeb is razzing actor Nick Gonzalez about his shaking hands as the action continues at the Invitational's final table.
"He prefers playing poker over acting," Deeb announces to the crowd.
"Hey, Freddy's an actor too," says Tournament Director Matt Savage. "You guys ever see Twins?"
The crowd goes wild.
Meanwhile, Tom Hall is raising to $200,000 on the button. Deeb moves all-in from the small blind and Gonzalez gets out of the way.
Hall thinks for a moment before exhaling and announcing a call. He turns up Q
J
and is racing against Deeb's 7
7
.
The APT founder needs to hit a queen or a jack to stay alive, but the flop comes Q
7
5
and although he does make a pair, Deeb makes a set of sevens for the second time in seven hands.
The turn is the 5
and Hall picks up outs to stay alive. He now needs a queen to make a bigger full house, but the river is the 2
and sevens-full are good for Deeb.
Hall is thus eliminated in third place, taking $20,000 from the prize pool and setting up a heads-up grudge match between Deeb and Gonzalez.
Stay tuned!

Deeb Picks Off Hall
Freddy Deeb has just taken over the chip lead in a remarkable hand that Tom Hall may wish he could have back.
Hall limped in from the small blind and Deeb raised to $280k in the big blind. Hall made the call and the flop came A
Q
9
.
Hall fired out $400k and Deeb tanked for a minute.
"You're on a bluff, right?" he said before making the call.
The turn was the T
and Hall checked. Deeb checked behind. The river card was the 7
and Hall led out for $1 million.
"I call," Deeb quickly announces, turning up pocket sevens for the rivered set. He would have won the pot with a single eight, however, as Hall has the mighty 4
2
, playing the board in a stone bluff.
Deeb is now chip leader.

Clements Atlee'd (4th)
Tom Hall raises to $200,000 and Scott Clements moves all-in over the top for $1,320,000. Action folds back to Hall, who makes the call.
Clements turns up A
9
and Hall is dominated with A
3
.
The Hong Kong native is the founder of the Asian Poker Tour and is being sweated by a number of his sponsored pros, including Chino Rheem, Nam Le, J.C. Tran, Steve Sung and Quinn Do, as well as Michael Mizrachi and Amnon Philippi.
"Tom, you ever heard of a Steel Wheel?" Rheem yells as Hall and Clements await the flop.
The flop doesn't bring a straight flush, but it's nearly as good, coming 3
3
2
to give Hall trip threes.
The turn is the J
and Clements picks up a flush draw, but the river is the 2
and Hall makes treys-full to send Clements home in fourth place.
The Bracelet earns $15,000 for his time.

Deeb Doubles!
Action folds around to Scott Clements, who moves all-in and puts Freddy Deeb to a decision for his last $1 million or so in chips.
"I'm all-in with you," Deeb announces, turning up a pair of red tens. Clements has J

and will need to hit a jack to bust Deeb.
The board runs A
5
3
3
T
and Deeb rivers an extraneous full house to double through Clements and stay alive.

Gonzalez Doubles
Scott Clements raises and Nick Gonzalez moves all-in over the top for $590k more. The action folds back to Clements, who makes the call, turning up J
T
.
Gonzalez is ahead with K
Q
and is a 64% favorite to win the hand. He stands to await his fate.
The flop comes K
3
3
and Gonzalez flops two pair.
"You can sit down now," Deeb tells him, and Gonzalez takes a seat - in Deeb's lap, as the turn card is the J
.
This gives Deeb some outs, but the river is the T
and Gonzalez's two pair bests Deeb's three pair, doubling him up to $1,720,000.

Tassone Tossed Out (5th)
Ottavio Tassone open-shoves for his last $820,000 and Scott Clements moves all-in over the top to isolate. The action folds around and Tassone turns up K
J
, finding himself racing for his tournament life against Clements' 8
8
.
Tassone needs paint to stay alive, but the flop comes 3
3
2
and is pretty well the antithesis of what he was looking for.
The turn is the A
and the river the 6
and Tassone doesn't even come close. He's out in fifth place, and earns $10,000 for his time.

Tavares Torched (6th)
Freddy Deeb raises to $150,000 from under the gun and Jose Tavares moves all-in from the two spot. From UTG+2, Nick Gonzalez pauses for a moment before announcing he's all-in as well, having Tavares covered by just $30k.
Action folds back to Deeb.
"You guys want a three-way action pot?" he asks the table. The crowd certainly does. "I can't do it," he says, mucking his hand.
Tavares turns up A
Q
, but he's behind Gonzalez's A
A
.
The flop comes J
T
2
and Tavares flops a gut-shot straight draw. The turn is the J
and now only a king can save the day, but the river is the 9
and the aces hold, busting Tavares in sixth place for a $5,000 payout.
Gonzalez heads to the rail, where he is immediately swarmed by his cheering section, which includes actor Danny Masterson and another actor whose name we can't remember.
Anyways, dude is now second in chips behind only Tom Hall.
