Robert Richardson limps from the small blind and Andrew Barta raises to $160,000 in the big blind. Richardson calls and the flop comes Ad 8c 7s. Both players check and the turn is the Kd. Richardson checks and Barta bets out $100,000. Richardson calls and the river is the Qh. Both players check again and Barta shows As Tc. It's good for the pot.

Again!

Barta limps-in from the small blind and Seidel checks in the big blind. The flop comes Ac Qh 3s and both players check. The turn is the 5c and Barta bets out $100,000. Seidel calls and the river is the 6s. Again, Barta bets out $100,00 and Seidel calls. Barta shows 6-5 for two pair and takes the pot.

Richardson Shoves!

Andrew Barta raises to $150,000 on the button and Robert Richardson moves all-in from the big blind. Barta ruminates for a moment or two before telling his opponent, "You folded to so many of my all-ins; I'll fold this time.#

Richardson Leaves Value Town

Robert Richardson and Erik Seidel see a flop come Qh 7h 3s. Seidel bets out $130,000 and Richardson makes the call. The turn is the 6c and Seidel bets out $400,000. Richardson calls and the river is the Qc, prompting both players to check - Richardson inexplicably, as it turns out, as he turns up Qd 5c for trips. It's good for the pot.

After pushing all in again and again, somebody finally called Andrew Barta down.

The action in the hand began when Robert Richardson raised to $120k pre flop and geot the call from Barta. On the 4h 9h Qh flop Richardson bet another $200k and, once again, Barta shoved all in.

After finding out the bet was $1,215,000 Richardson made the massive call. Barta had the Qc 9c for two pair and Richardson the Kd Qd. The turn is the 6c and Richardson could only win with a king. The river wasn't one as the 10h fell and Barta doubled up to over $3 million. Richardson is now in third with $2.4 million.

The turn is the Jh and Richardson bets out $200,000. Seidel raises to $550,000 and after some pause, Richardson makes the call. The river is the As and Richardson checks. Seidel bets out $775,000 and Richardson, looking disgusted, lays down the hand.

In a battle of the big stacks; Erik Seidel opens the pot making it $160k before Robert Richardson raises to $450k. Andrew Barta gets out of the way and Seidel then four bets it up to $1.1 million. Richardson takes his sweet time before folding his hand and avoiding the kind of fireworks that could have brought the entire tournament down right there and then.

Looking To Double

Robert Richardson opens a pot to $180k before Andrew Barta pushes all in for the second hand in a row. Richardson stands up before Barta says he needs to double up. Rob-Rich then takes his seat to stare Barta down and ponder the decision. Eventually he folds the hand.

Erik Seidel felt a similar sting a few hands later when he made it $160k to go and Barta shoved on him. Seidel avoided the trouble as well folding his hand.

Frank Cieri open shoves for his last $215k and Robert Richardson makes the call. Cieri's tournament life is riding on the Qc 7c against Richardson's Ks 6c.

Things get worse for the Yonker's undertaker on the 6d 8h 8c flop and Cieri's day is done when the 3h turn and 9h river fall. He goes out 4th cashing $200,261.

Meanwhile, Richardson pads his lead and now has almost $6 million.

Richardson Doubles, Cripples Cieri 2 years ago

Robert Richardson raises to $150,000 from under the gun and Frank Cieri flat-calls in the big blind. The flop comes Kc Jd 4c and Cieri moves all-in instantly, sending Richardson up and out of his seat as he contemplates a call for his tournament life. The tournament director counts down both players' stacks, with Cieri having $2.8 million to Richardson's $2.6 million.

After some serious tankage, Richardson announces a call and shows Kd Ts for top pair against Cieri's Jc Tc for the club draw. Richardson paces the stage, muttering "No club, no club," before settling down and shaking Cieri's hand as the two rivals prepare for Fourth Street.

The turn is the 3h and the river the Qd and Richardson fades the flush draw, taking the pot with king high and doubling through Frank Cieri. Rob-Rich is now chipleader while Cieri is down to absolute scratch.

Frank Cieri actually had to show down a hand for what seems like the first time today. In a three way limped pot, Robert Richardson and Andrew Barta check the 8d 6c 5s flop. Cieri makes it $200k to go, but Richardson pulls out the old check raise making it $400k. Frank calls and both players slow down checking the 4s turn. The scary 6d on the river is also checked and it turns out Richardson's 7s 9s is good for the straight against Cieri's J-8.
