The Final Table!
Welcome the the land where chips are made of silicon and Brandu Cantu has most of them. It's the final table of the 2008 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star, live from the heart of Silicon Valley in San Jose, California!
Things will get rolling in about a half an hour from now and as previously mentioned, Brandon Cantu will start the day with a massive chip lead. The 2006 WSOP Bracelet winner has $3.3 million in chips and the only player even close is big-time poker tournament newcomer Mike Baker with $1.9 million.
Noah Jefferson brings a solid tournament record with him to the final table, along with just over $800k and fourth in chips is the only bountied shooting star left in the event, fan favorite Jennifer Harman.
Rounding out the final six are WPT Spanish Championship fourth place finisher Steve Sung with $474,000 and a player with more than $2 million in lifetime tournament poker winnings and an even bigger bar tab, John Phan ($374,000).
Keep it locked on PL.com throughout as we bring you the ups and downs, the rise and fall of it all, the peaks and valleys, the story behind the story and just about every other cheesy cliched phrase we can think of in a style all our own. You know my Steez!
