Ted Forrest moves all-in on the button and J.J. Liu makes the call, showing A♥ 8♣ to 7♦ 7♣ for Forrest. The flop comes Q♦ 5♠ 4♦ and the turn is the 4♠, meaning Liu is drawing to an ace or an eight to stay alive. The river is the 7♠ and Ted Forrest fills up, taking the check mark, taking Liu's bounty, and taking the tournament.
Ted Forrest is the new champion at Bay 101, and will receive $1,100,000 for his efforts, as well as Liu's $5,000 bounty and t-shirt, a WPT ring and chipset, and an entry into the $25,000 WPT World Championship in April. J.J. Liu takes home $600,000 and the satisfaction of being the highest finishing woman in a WPT open event. Congratulations to both finishers!

J.J. Liu raises to $480,000 on the button and Ted Forrest calls in the big blind. The flop comes A♣ K♠ 7♦ and both players check to see the turn, which is the T♣. Forrest bets out $300,000 and Forrest makes the call. The river is the 2♣ and Forrest moves all-in. Liu goes into the tank but eventually makes the call, and triumphantly slams down K♣ 5♣ for the nut flush. Liu shows Q♠ J♠ for the Broadway straight, but it's no use, and she ships an additional $3,270,000 across the felt, leaving her with only about $800,000 behind.
