Seidel bets $150,000 and that sends Chrisanthopoulos deep into the tank. After several minutes Chrisanthopoulos opts to raise to $375,000. Seidel calls fairly quickly and Chrisanthopoulos says, "Nice call," and mucks his hand. Seidel rakes the pot.

Alex Kostritsyn opens for $80,000 from under the gun and Peter Ling makes the call in the big blind. The flop comes 9 8 7 and Ling checks to Kostritsyn, who checks behind. The turn is the 6 and Ling bets out $80,000. Kostritsyn makes the call and the river is the 7, prompting a check from both players. Ling shows a pocket pair of threes while Kostritsyn has A-8 and takes the pot with two pair, eights and sevens.

Erik Seidel bets $70,000 from the button and Nino Marotta calls from the small blind. Michael Chrisanthopoulos calls from the big blind.

The flop comes J 6 4. Seidel checks, Marotta bets $125,000, Michael Chrisanthopoulos folds. Seidel goes deep into the tank and eventually makes the call.

The turn comes 2. Marotta moves all-in and Seidel calls. The players flip over their cards:

The river comes 9 and Seidel doubles up.

Peter Mobbs raises to $75,000 from under the gun and Erik Seidel makes the call before Alex Kostritsyn raises to $350,000 from the big blind. Peter Mobbs re-pops another $500,000 and Erik Seidel gets out of the way. Kostritsyn tanks for a few minutes before moving all-in and Mobbs makes the call for his tournament life, showing A J to Kostritsyn's A K.

The flop comes J 8 6 and Mobbs suddenly takes the lead in the hand. The turn is a dagger K and Kostritsyn regains the advantage. The river card is the 2 and Mobbs can't engineer the triple suck-out and is thus eliminated, out in seventh place for a $225,000 haul.

Erik Seidel opens for $70,000 from the cut-off and Peter Ling considers a call from the big blind. Ling opts to pop it up to $325,000.

After thinking for a couple minutes Seidel says, "This is the biggest lay-down of my life," and mucks his hand.

Marotta makes a quick call and the river is the T. Casale checks to Marotta, who bets out $200,000, and Casale folds the hand. Marotta shows pocket kings and rakes the pot.

Alexander Kostritsyn bets out $80,000 and Peter Mobbs makes the call. The flop comes A 5 5 and Kostritsyn bets out $60,000. Mobbs folds out and Kostritsyn takes the pot.

It's final-table time from the main event of the 2008 Aussie Millions. Seven days ago, the first flight of an eventual 780 runners began the tournament in the basement of the Crown Casino in beautiful Melbourne, Australia. Now all but seven of those players have been eliminated, and those seven have returned to the River Room at the Crown Tower to play down to the $1.65 million first prize.
