Hyman Wins Tournament!

After dominating the first few hands of heads-up by continuing to push all-in and utilize his big stack to its best advantage, Zachary Hyman sees a flop with Ted Lawson and the board comes Q T 9. Both players check and the turn is the Q, prompting both players to check again. The river card is the 2 and all of a sudden Hyman is all- in. Lawson calls immediately, showing Q 5 for trip queens, but Hyman turns over K J for the flopped king- high straight and since a straight beats trips, Zachary Hyman has won the 2007 Wynn Poker Classic Main Event!

For the victory, Hyman takes home $749,033, as well as a gigantic trophy and the adoration of millions of PokerListings.com readers. Ted Lawson will receive $384,120 and marginally less adulation. Congratulations to both finalists, and to the Wynn for a putting on such a successful tournament!

Moore Bertuzzi'd

On a board of Q J T, Chris Moore moves all-in and Zachary Hyman makes the call, showing K J to Moore's Q T. Hyman is left screaming for an ace, a king, or a nine for the win, but the turn is the 4 and so he's down to his last card to eliminate Moore. The river is the A and Hyman makes Broadway, sending Moore to the rail in third for $192,060.

With the elimination of Chris Mooore, Hyman and Ted Lawson will play heads-up for the $749,033 first prize. Hyman has Lawson out-chipped by about a five to one margin as play resumes.

On a board of K T 4, Chris Roos gets the last of his chips into the middle against who else but Zachary Hyman, who shows T T for a set against Roos' Q 9 for the gutty straight draw. Huuuuge Pot

Chris Moore raises to $100,000 from under the gun and Chris Roos re-ups all-in from the small blind. Zachary Hyman looks down at pocket aces in the big blind and calls immediately. Moore gets out of the way and Roos shows Q Q. As the players wait for the flop Moore says he laid down a queen, giving Roos one out to bust Hyman, barring any straight or flush possibilities. The flop comes A 7 4 and Hyman is on his feet, giving his best Roos impression as he cheers and claps as loud as possible. The board finishes out J 8 and Hyman is jubilant, slapping fives with the crowd and generally just letting off steam, while Roos prepares to ship $1,150,000 across the felt. The Canada Goose is left with $280,000, while Zachary Hyman is now the clear chip leader.

Hyman Bluffs Lawson

Ted Lawson and Zachary Hyman see a flop come A 5 4 and both players check. The turn is the K and Lawson bets out $200,000. Hyman thinks for a few minutes before putting Lawson all-in, and after some rumination of his own, Lawson lays down A 2 for top pair with a weak kicker (and the gutshot straight draw). In response, Hyman shows K Q for second pair as he takes down the pot, and Lawson's head explodes.

The final four will now take an hour-long dinner break, with play to resume at 6:00 PM Pacific Time. We would normally post chip counts here, but Wynn security has got those numbers under wraps and verily threatened PokerListings.com with bodily harm when we tried to tabulate. Suffice it to say, Chris Roos is chip leader, with Zachary Hyman close behind. Chris Moore and Ted Lawson round out the field, but all players are right around the average $990,000 with nobody on life support or in serious danger just yet.

Chris Roos raises to $50,000 from the button and Mike Matusow moves all-in from the big blind. Roos quickly calls and shows Q Q, but Matusow has a monster in his 5 2. The board comes A K 7 7 5 and somehow Roos cracks Matusow's 52o to take down the pot and silence the mouth, sending him to the rail in fifth place with a $76,824 consolation prize.

Big Pot for Hyman

Chris Moore raises to $60,000 from middle position and Zachary Hyman calls in the big blind. The flop comes A A -K and Hyman checks to Moore, who bets out $75,000. Hyman immediately raises to $150,000 and Moore makes the call. The players check the turn, which is the 6, but Hyman bets another $75,000 when the river is the 2. Moore thinks for a few minutes while performing cosmetic surgery on his chip stack, but eventually mucks. Hyman shows A 9 as he rakes a substantial pot.

The board comes Q 6 Q Q 6, and Roos takes the pot, sending Fischman to the rail in sixth for a $57,618 payday. Moore Doubles Through Fischman

Scott Fischman raises to $45,000 from the cut-off and Chris Moore adds $66,000 to the wager from the big blind. Fischman moves all-in and more is forced to mull over a call for his tournament life. Eventually he does make the call and shows pocket queens to Fischman's A K, and the board comes 9 4=2 7 8, giving the race to Moore and forcing Fischman to ship all of $468,000 across the felt to the young turk in the nine seat. Fischman is left with around $200,000, while Moore takes down the million dollar pot and is now the chip leader.

Even money or not, the board comes K 2 2 4 K and Moore takes the pot with kings and eights, sending Chan to the rail in eighth place and adding $38,412 to the coffers of the Orient Express.

Zomg Fischman Sucks Out on Chan

Johnny Chan raises to $35,000 from the hijack and Scott Fischman bumps it another $70,000 from the small blind. Chan flat calls and the flop comes Q T 3. Fischman immediately moves all-in for his last $217,000 and Chan beats him to the pot with A A. Fischman is in a bad place with A K, but the turn is the J to give Fischman the Broadway Straight. The river is the 9 and Scott Fischman has sucked out on Johnny Chan. It's difficult to tell who looks worse about the whole thing - the disgusted-looking Chan or Fischman, who looks about as sorry as someone can be without actually being repentant.

Hyman Scares Mizrachi

On a board of Q Q 8 6, Michael Mizrachi bets out $50,000 and Zachary Hyman is immediately all-in for about $300,000. Grinder is perturbed, telling Hyman he must have quads, and mulling over the damage the call will do to his stack before finally mucking J J face-up. Hyman shows A A as he takes down the pot, and suddenly the gallery is aghast at the Hyman's audacity.
