Hansen's Bullets Hold Up
In the final hand of this heads-up match Gus got it started with a raise to $350,000 which Jimmy Fricke called. The flop came Q
8
6
and after a check from Jimmy, Hansen threw one million into the middle. Fricke immediately pushed all-in and Gus insta-called. The Dane turned over a monster - pocket aces - and was ahead of Fricke who had pushed with yet another draw.
Jimmy was holding 7
9
for an open-ended straight draw and when the 2
hit the turn he picked up a flush draw to go with it. Gus had to sweat it on the river but the 9
sealed the deal and ended the event. Jimmy Fricke will be our runner-up and take home a cool $1 million and Gus has earned the title, the bracelet and $1.5 million. Congratulations Mr. Hansen!

A Hasty Move from Fricke
This hand began with a raise to $450k from Gus and a call from Fricke. The flop came K
J
6
and after Gus checked it, Fricke moved all-in. Gus quickly made the call and turned over K-T for top pair. We saw Fricke had been making a move as he turned over Q-9 for an inside straight draw. Fricke was unable to make it there this time and after the board finished 5-6 he was forced to hand the chip lead back over to Gus.

Jimmy Fricke - King of the Suck-Outs
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jimmy Fricke cannot lose! In what was definitely the call of the tournament Gus Hansen had Jimmy all-in and way behind after the flop. Hansen opened this pot for $425,000 and Fricke called. The flop came out J
T
T
and Fricke checked it to Hansen. Gus threw in $500k and Jimmy quickly announced all-in. He had about $4.3 million total and Gus took some serious time in making his decision. Talking his way through the hand he eventually decided to make the call. Turning over his hand we saw why it was a tough call to make, A
K
for nothing but ace high.
When we saw Jimmy's call though we saw it was an amazing read. Fricke needed some help with his K
Q
. He was drawing to a nine or some sort of running cards for the win. The turn came the T
which gave Fricke a few more outs as he could hit a queen to make a full house. It looked like the tournament was over as there was only one card to come but I guess we forgot for a second that it was Jimmy Fricke who was in the hand. The river was the 9
and Jimmy sucks-out yet again to become the chip leader.

Great Dane Takes Chip Lead
With two substantial pots Gus Hansen has taken the chip lead. The first hand began with a raise to $300k from Hansen on the button and a call from Fricke. The flop came J-6-2 with two diamonds and after a check from Jimmy, Gus threw in $400,000 and Fricke check-raised to $1.5 million. Gus wasn't going to be pushed around though and quickly announced all-in. Fricke threw away his hand and conceded the pot.
On the next hand Gus raised pre-flop to $300,000 and got re-raised to $600k by Fricke. Hansen made the call and the flop came 9-7-4 with two clubs. Both players checked and the turn was the 6
. After a $500k bet from Fricke, Hansen pushed all-in for the second time in as many hands and took down the pot. Gus is now the chip leader.

Hansen Back in It
To answer the question posed in the last update: Gus Hansen has doubled through Jimmy Fricke to pull almost even in this heads-up match. The hand started with a raise to $300k from Gus and a call from Fricke. The flop came 7
A
K
and Fricke check-called a $350,000 bet from Hansen. The turn brought the 8
and after Fricke checked again, Gus announced he was all-in. Jimmy went deep into the tank before making his decision.
After several minutes Fricke called and they both flipped them up. Hansen was in great shape with A
2
leading Fricke's K
Q
going to the river. Jimmy was looking for a king or a queen but the river fell the 5
and Gus doubles-up. Pulling close to even with $7.36 million to Fricke's $7.6 million, Gus is right back in this match.
