EPT Prague: Italian Civil War 11 months ago

Salvatore Bonavena raises it up to $72,000 and Massimo Di Ciccio moves all-in for $212,000.

With the dead money from the blinds and antes this is pretty much an autocall for Bonavena, who's getting nearly 2.4-1 and has plenty of chips back.

So he folds.

Sorry people; I know you want to, but it's too late to buy in to this tournament.

EPT Prague: Nygard Has a Long Nickname! 11 months ago

Andrew Chen raises to $70,000 from the small blind and Fredrik Nygard gives the matter some thought before moving all-in for another $400,000 or so from the big blind. Chen mucks rather quickly and Nygard takes down the pot, showing as he does the Td 7d.

"I never lose with this hand," he tells the table. "I'm on a rush of 50 hands online where I've made money with this hand. My nickname is Ten-seven-of-diamonds-suited!"

  • Blinds: $12,000/$24,000

EPT Prague: Chen on the March 11 months ago

Andrew Chen started the day as the short stack, and was lucky to win two dominated all-ins, but the Canadian has turned up the heat since then, taking advantage of his good fortune and picking up several big pots to propel him over the $1 million mark in a dramatic turnabout.

There are bound to be twists and turns aplenty left in this EPT, but Chen's recovery means he is now a potential challenger for the title.

EPT Prague: Chen Climbing! 11 months ago

Andrew Chen raises and Fredrik Nygard makes the call. The flop comes Jd Jc 8c and Chen bets out $80,000. Nygard gives the matter some thought before making the call and the turn is the Ad.

Now Chen, his consternation showing, bets out $200,000. Nygard tanks some more but ultimately releases his hand, and Chen takes the pot. He's now on over $1 million and climbing.

EPT Prague: Nasr Escobar'd (7th) 11 months ago

Andrew Chen raises to $48,000 and Nasr El Nasr moves all-in over the top for about $250,000 more. Action folds back to Chen, who makes a quick call and turns up Ts Th to find himself racing El Nasr's Kd Jd.

The flop brings the drama, coming Td 4d 2c to give Chen the set but El Nasr the diamond flush draw. The turn is the 7s and the river the 8h and El Nasr, one of the better players at the table today, can't spike a diamond and is thus eliminated.

He's out in seventh place and earns €99,500 for his time.

EPT Prague: Nasr Hammered 11 months ago

Nasr raises it up to $56,000 only for Konstantinos to wield his big stack successfully, reraising to $250k and being rewarded with a fold, which sends the Greek's stack soaring over the $2 million mark for the first time.

EPT Prague: Break Time! 11 months ago

The end of Level 22 is the cue for the players to take a break.

There has been a raft of interesting hands so far, with some questionable plays littering the proceedings.

EPT Prague: Blo-felled! 11 months ago

Fredrik Nygard's sun is being eclipsed at the moment, the Blofeld look-alike paying off Konstantinos' thin value bet recently, and he has just continued his downward trend, losing another big chunk to Nasr El Nasr.

It opened with Nygard opening to $39,000, only for Nasr to ship it in for $263,000.

Nygard has shown a propensity to not fold so far, and after burying his head in his hands for a few moments he made the call with A-J, finding himself dominated by Nasr's A-K.

The board ran out Ks Jh Th 3d 6s for a handy double-through for Nasr, who is now up to $556k, whilst the Finn is in freefall right now.
