Bertrand Grospellier has taken over the role of chip leader and with this latest hand he's creeping up to the $10 million mark. This pot began with ElkY opening to $325,000 from the button and Kris Kuykendall re-raising to $925,000 from the big blind. Grospellier only took a moment before announcing all-in, putting Kris to a decision to for his tournament life. Kuykendall took one last look at his hand before tossing it in the muck and conceding the pot.

David Pham bets out $340,000 from the button and Hafiz Khan makes the call in the big blind. The flop comes Kd Qs 6d and both players check. The turn is the 7c and Khan bets out $420,000. Pham makes the call and the river is the 7s, prompting a check from Khan and a $750,000 bet from the Dragon. Khan thinks for a spell and then makes the call, turning up K-Q to Khan's K-4 and taking down the pot.

Kris Kuykendall just took a big pot from David Pham after playing rags aggressively and apparently getting lucky on the river. It began with the action folding to Kris in the small blind who raised it up. Pham made the call from the big blind and the flop came down As 5d 4d. Kuykendall fired $400,000 which Pham called relatively quickly. They both checked down the 5h and Ts and Kris showed Tc 3d which was good.

A short-stacked Craig Hopkins moves all-in preflop and is called by David Pham, who turns up Td Tc to Hopkins' Kd 8d. The flop comes Th 9h 7s, giving Pham the set and Hopkins the open-ended straight draw. The turn is the Kh and Hopkins pairs his king, although it's a little late for that. The river is the 2c and Hopkins misses his draw and is thus eliminated in fifth place, earning $450,000 for a tenacious spell at the final table.

Pham Loses Another One 2 years ago

David Pham has been taking some damage in the last few levels and just shipped another couple of chips over to Hafiz Khan. It started with Khan opening to $225,000 from the button and Pham calling from the small blind.

They both checked the flop of Qs Js 6h and Pham bet $365,000 when the 8c hit the turn. Khan made the call and the 4h hit the river. Both players checked and Khan showed A-Q for top pair, top kicker. Pham shows As 4s for the busted flush draw.
