Nam Le Wins!

Nam Le
Winnar!

Nam Le is the High Roller champ. He pushed around Andrew Scott until he'd built a 9-1 chip lead and then bet enought to commit Scott when he looked down at king high.

Scott made the call with J T and would need to catch against Le's K 2.

The flop fell K J 6 and while Scott grabbed some additional outs on the A turn, the 9 river wasn't one of them.

Scott takes $269,230 for second while Le grabs the the title, the $474,358 first place prize and all the glory.

A full recap of the final table should be up here before the night is through.

Quinn Do
Snapped!

Quinn Do is out after Andrew Scott hit a three-outer on him. The two got in a raising war pre-flop that culminated with Scott talking himself into shoving on Do and Quinn making the call for his tournament life with pocket tens.

Scott had A T and when the Q 8 6 flop fell, any hopes of a heart flush fell with them. But, when the A turned, it was Quinn who would need the case ten to survive.

The river was the K and Do heads out third, cashing $153,846.

Now it'll be up to Nam Le and his $790,000 to take on Scott and his $435,000 for the High Roller title.

Chucky's Dead (Fourth)

It's all over but the crying.

Charles Chua's amazing run here in Macau is finally over. After making second in the main event just days ago he'll cash $115,384 for fourth here, having failed to get past Nam Le.

Nam raised, he reraised and Nam shipped it on him. Chua made the call with pocket jacks, but Le had the queens and the queens held on a A 7 3 A 2 board.

It took a lot of luck for Chua to get this far, but he showed a little poker chops as well and even the jaded crew at PL.com was impressed. Good luck Chuck.

Now three-handed, Nam has a huge lead with $785k to Quinn Do's $250k and Andrew Scott's $185k.

Chua Doubles Again

Nam Le
Still the one.

Charles Chua has doubled through Nam Le to take a chunk out of his chip lead here in Macau.

He shoved pocket queens and Nam looked him up with A K. The board ran out 9 4 3 5 6 and after the double, Chua moved up to $350k.

Meanwhile, Le still leads with $490,000 and Andrew Scott and Quinn Do are bringing up the rear with around $200k apiece.

Quinn Do
His own worst enemy.

Quinn Do just made a huge mistake trying to bully Charles Chua off a pot. He raised pre-flop and Chua fired back, Quinn flatted and the flop came 6 5 3.

It only took a second before Do shoved in. Chua made the quick call for his tournament life with K K, picking off Do's T 9 bluff.

The turn and river, as if it mattered, came A J, giving Chucky the flush and the double.

Do is now the short stack on $120k and has only himself to blame.

Sorry about your luck, Chuck.

With a better two pair than Charles Chua had, Nam Le just made a nice value raise on the river, and Chucky was forced to make the call.

A $300k pot was shipped to Nam in the process and Chucky is in trouble once again.

Could another donkstrike be next? Stay tuned to PL.com to find out!

The Silent Assasin

Nam Le
What's that, Nam?

Andrew Scott tried limping in on Nam Le's big blind from the small, but that didn't work. He also tried talking to Nam, but that didn't work either.

After the limp, Nam bumped it up $22k more.

"You want to go to war?" Scott asked. "I'm not afraid to go to war."

Eventually Scott folded, but the one-sided conversation continued.

"I bet you're glad I folded," Scott said to no reply from Le. "Come on Nam, talk to me. The silent assassin, huh? Everybody is afraid of the introverted guy."

It's been a few minutes and Nam still hasn't said a word, or even looked Scott's way.

Quinn Do
One pip for Do.

Quinn Do has taken a little chunk out of Charles "Chucky" Chua's stack.

The hand began with a $22k raise from Do and a call from Chua sending them heads-up to the Q 3 2 flop. Do check-called a $35k bet from Chua on this street and when the 8 came down on the next one, they both tapped the table.

The river brought the A and Do check-called another $35k bet from Chucky, showing A T. Turns out he had Chucky outpipped in the kicker department as Chua felted A 9.

Steicke Implodes (Fifth)

David Steicke
Up in smoke.

David Steicke led this tournament right from the start until the final table began. It seemed like just five minutes ago he was still ahead, but his collapse is now complete.

The Hong Kong trader who made the final table in this very event last year got all his chips in pre-flop with pocket tens, but ran smack into Nam Le's pocket kings.

The flop gave him an open-ender, but it never materialized, and in a matter of 12 hands, Steicke has gone from hero to complete zero. Well, not zero exactly, as he collects $89,743 for fifth.

We're down to four now and Nam Le leads.

Things are looking up!

Things are getting pretty wild here in Macau. In the latest change of fortunes, Andrew Scott just doubled through Charles Chua.

Facing a raise from Chucky, Andrew shipped it and Chucky made the call with A Q. Scott held jacks and the jacks held on a board of bricks for Chucky.

Chua Sucks Out!

Chucky likes it!

Quinn Do is now the new chip leader thanks to Charles Chua. Chucky got in a raise/reraise/all-in situation with David Steicke and Steicke made the call, putting Chua at risk.

It was pocket tens for David against Charles' A Q and while the J 7 6 flop and 7 turn kept the tens ahead, Chucky found the A river to his liking.

He doubled up to $340k and while Quinn takes the lead sitting on $370k, David Steicke is down to $220,000.

Andrew Scott
Still short.

Andrew Scott let his tournament ride on A 9 and Nam Le obliged with a call, felting A 3.

The 9 4 2 flop gave Scott top pair, but it was not invincible, as Nam picked up the gut-shot draw.

The turn was the 8 and the river the 7, leaving Scott in his chair for now, although he's still the short stack.

As it stands, David Steicke Holds a slight lead over Quinn Do, with Nam in third and Charles Chua sitting close behind him in fourth.

Le Pushes Again

Nam Le
Back in it!

After Andrew Scott limped the button Nam Le shoved again from the small blind. It folded back to Scott, who let out a huge sigh.

He had laid down once, but didn't this time. Scott made the call with A Q and Nam's tournament life was on the line with 7 7.

The flop came J 4 5 and while the turn brought paint, it was the J, keeping Nam ahead. On the river the T fell, ensuring Le would double through Scott.

Then, in the very next hand, Nam picked up K Q on the button and raised. David Steicke called and after the K Q 3 flop, he check-raised all-in facing a $20k bet from Le. Nam made the fairly easy call and was surprised to see David had just K 6.

The turn was a brick and the river completed Le's boat, sending him from the short stack to almost $300k in just two hands.

Wei Will Ma is done. After David Steicke limped the button, a suddenly short Ma shoved and Charles Chua made the call from the big blind.

David Steicke also called and they both checked down a board reading Q 6 5 7 A.

Chucky's Revenge!

More than just a talking doll.

Charles Chua just treated us all to a replay of the Johnny Chan bust-out hand with a very different result.

Chucky shoved with pocket sixes and got the call from Wei Will Ma with A Q.

This time the flop came J 9 8 and Ma picked up the gutter, but the gutter never came. The turn was the J and although a nine or an eight would counterfeit Chua, the 7 river gave his sixes the check-mark.

The double puts Charles over $200k and in second place under David Steicke right now.

Johnny Chan
Another Steicke victim.

We're down to six now that Johnny Chan has left the building.

Facing a raise from David Steicke, Chan shoved his last $56k in the middle and Steicke made the call. It was a close race with Steicke holding A Q to Chan's 6#6, and the T 3 2 kept Chan ahead.

The turn came the K, giving Steicke some additional outs to oust Chan and, wouldn't you know it, the guy who never misses hit again when the J fell on the river.

Steicke made a straight and Chan made straight for the cage to grab his $51,282 in seventh-place money.

Now that's exciting!

With the blinds so small in comparison to the stacks, there's no pressure on anyone to play. As a result, no one is really playing.

Add the limited table talk and the fact there are only about seven people in the room watching and, in a word, this final table is boring.

Let's hope the action heats up before long ... the natives are starting to get restless.

Heading into a 15-minute break, Quinn Do has doubled up.

He shoved with A J and the suddenly slipping David Steicke made the call with K J. The 6 5 4 flop delivered few surprises and Quinn doubled when the 4 turn and Q river kept his ace-high in the lead.

The Mighty Quin just got a little mightier with a healthy $170k in his stack now, while Steicke still holds the lead on a little better than $300k.

Ivan Tan has been bounced eighth. He shoved once and didn't find any callers, but when he tried the same trick again, Charles Chua looked him up.

Turns out it was A T for Ivan in big trouble against Chucky's A K. Although the flop gave him a ton of outs as the 9 6 2 were revealed, and he picked up some chop possibilities when the 6 turned, in the end the 5 river ended all of Ivan's hopes.

After making second in the main event here in Macau last year, his impressive run finishes up with a $38,461 cash here.

Charles Chua has survived his first short-stack shove of this final table. He opened up all-in from under the gun and got the call from David Steicke.

It turned out Chua was in a dominating position with A J against Steicke's A 6, and while the 9 4 2 flop kept things up in the air, the J ended any sweat for Chucky.

Great Scott?

The two big stacks at the table have already found a way to butt heads.

Andrew Scott started the action with a $9k pre-flop bet and David Steicke defended his blind. Steicke checked the 5 J 3 flop and Scott bet $14k. Steicke floated and both decided the 9 turn was a good opportunity to check.

But when the T river came down and Steicke checked again, Scott pushed out a rather large $50,000 bet. Steicke laid it down and Scott is off to a fast start.
