Levi, Bellande lead way to Day 2 at Foxwoods
One thing is for certain in the poker world: If you build a prize pool, they will come. So despite the simultaneous EPT Grand Final across the pond, the pros have still managed to find their way to the World Poker Tour's Foxwoods Poker Classic, and action winds again today towards Tuesday's final table.
Some - like Joe Sebok, John Hennigan, Rafael Perry, Allen Cunningham, Chau Giang, Danny Alaei, Daniel Negreanu, Erick Lindgren, Mark Seif and Chantel McNulty (pictured) - were there from the get go.
Others - like Barry Greenstein, Victor Ramdin and Eugene Todd - booked it back from Monte Carlo after early bust outs at the Grand Final (Greenstein even busting out within minutes of his arrival in Foxwoods and turning around and jetting off in search of, certainly, payback time elsewhere).
All of them, however, had no qualms about dropping $10,000 into the collection bowl and making their best efforts towards the lion's share of the $4 million-plus prize pool.
Two of the happiest heading into today's Day 2 action: Yariv Levi and Jean-Robert Bellande, who lead the chip pack with $161,750 and $142,875, respectively.
Now that we've brought it up: It behooves us to mention said information comes compliments of PokerListings.com's own Matt Showell, who arrived on time at Foxwoods - in a castle-themed chainmail short-short and halter top number, no less - to bring us all the action live.
So for the best coverage of the WPT Foxwoods Poker Classic on the Internet, please visit Matt in our Live Tournaments Section.
He'll be bringing you all of the sick beats and inside scoops as they unfold right up until Tuesday's final.
