LEOCOP IV gets $500k boost from Ladbrokes

The Spoils of War

Thanks to a hefty infusion of cash, the LEOCOP IV (Ladbrokes European Online Championship of Poker) is shaping up to be one of the premier online series for European poker players this year.

Ladbrokes just announced it will be adding a total of $500,000 cash to LEOCOP IV, with an additional chance to qualify for the televised Poker Million VII.

The $500,000 added to the LEOCOP IV prize pool is the most that has ever been added to an online festival in Europe. It's an incredible deal for players, according to Ladbrokes Managing Director Edward Ihre.

"Ladbrokes represents all that is good in European poker at present, excellent value tournaments and an undeniable community element that makes this a great event to participate in," he said. "This festival ticks a number of boxes for the savvy player, smaller fields for bigger money, start times that suit people based in Europe and so many poker variants that you'll find something to satisfy your poker needs."

Extra cash isn't the only reason to take part in LEOCOP IV. For the first time ever, Ladbrokes is running a LEOCOP Leaderboard where the top 10 of 80 runners will share in an additional prize pool of $14,000.

All 80 players will be invited to play in a special online LEOCOP Masters tournament on Nov. 22 for a $120,000 Poker Million VII semifinal seat and a chance to win $1 million (minimum $20,000 guaranteed). The winner of that event will in turn be invited to play in a televised tournament against the likes of Ciaran O'Leary, Jonas Danielsson and brothers Ross and Barny Boatman.

The 15-day, 16-event LEOCOP IV begins this Sunday (Oct. 26) with at least $10,000 added to each tournament prize pool and culminates with the main event on Nov. 9 that will feature a total of $250,000 added. You can already qualify for LEOCOP IV events on Ladbrokes Poker for as little as $1.
