Lederer game to grace Cingular Wireless mobile network

By: Lianne Elias

A new tutorial poker game featuring poker pro Howard Lederer is being offered to customers of Cingular Wireless, the largest mobile carrier in the U.S., by Cingular Wireless and Summus, Inc., a leading provider of mobile media wireless applications.

"Secrets of Hold'em with Howard Lederer" offers clients a unique combination of challenging poker play and poker tutorials, enabling players to enhance their skills while learning from one of the pro circuit's top professionals.

The game offers $100K, $10K, and $1K poker tournaments. Once a player wins the $10K event, they can compete heads-up with Howard Lederer himself. Other celebrity players simulated in the game include Annie Duke, Chris Ferguson, Phil Gordon, Matt Savage, and Greg Raymer. Every player begins with a bankroll of $500.

"Secrets of Hold'em" is based on Lederer's DVD series of the same name. It can be used independently or in conjunction with an existing mobile poker game. Interested Cingular Wireless customers can purchase the game for $5.99 under the "Card & Board" game category in the "Media Mall" option on their mobile phones.
