Last chance for PartyPoker WSOP seats
The final two satellites are scheduled for Friday and Sunday at 6 p.m. ET, and PartyPoker still has plenty of ways for players to win their way in for as little as $1.
The WSOP satellites have a $540+$40 buy-in. The Friday satellite will guarantee three WSOP packages and the Sunday tournament will guarantee another two WSOP packages.
Plenty more could be awarded, however, as PartyPoker will add a $13,500 prize package for every 25 players in the event.
The packages include the $10,000 buy-in for the Main Event plus $2,000 in spending money, accommodations at a five-star hotel and transfers to and from the hotel and the Rio where the WSOP is taking place.
"There is still time to win the opportunity to experience the glamour of taking part in the Main Event," said a PartyPoker.com spokesman. "The package is attractive with accommodations at one of the world's most famous hotels and the exclusive suite, which can be a godsend in those all-important breaks in play."
PartyPoker has already seen some good luck at the WSOP as its ambassador, Mike Sexton, finished fourth in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em event.
"I'm happy to have cashed, but disappointed not to have won," Sexton said. "So many times when we were four-handed, one of the other players could have been eliminated but survived. Oh well, it was a pretty good start to the series."
Mike has cashed 45 times at the World Series of Poker and scooped $1 million in 2006 after taking down the Tournament of Champions. He donated half of those winnings to charity.
